The Suite Life: Beautiful Bedroom Sitting Areas
Create a retreat within a retreat with a relaxing chaise, sofa or pair of cozy chairs

Having a boudoir with room to spare is truly a privilege. With more space comes a plethora of seating options to consider in addition to the traditional bedroom furnishings. Sitting areas are great places to accommodate children, who tend to gather wherever you are. They serve as places to relax, relate and release yourself from the outside world. Whether your prefer a settee, a pair of chairs, a sofa, or a chaise lounge, you can rest assured knowing you are living the suite life. The only dilemma now is resisting the temptation to install a kitchenette at your beside.
A moment to empty your thoughts at a neighboring desk or indulging in a cup of tea while lounging on a plush sofa makes the perfect prelude to a restful evening.
A pair of chairs is often enough to create a private retreat within a retreat. Accent your sitting area with a table lamp if you tend to drift off in bed while reading.
If you are fortunate to have an amazing view, arrange your chairs to take advantage of the sights. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets while seated comfortably in your bedroom.
Getting out of bed can be a struggle when you have a glowing fire as a focal point. Accent chairs pull you closer to the warmth and ease you out of bed and gently into your morning routine.
Perfect for relaxing after a long day, a chaise lounge makes it easy to unwind before finally pulling back the covers.
Use bedroom seating to cuddle with a loved one while reading a bedtime story. Add a soft throw for extra comfort.
A coordinating area rug delineates the sleeping quarters from the sitting area, but it still allows the room to function as a cohesive space.
In a neutral space use sitting area furniture to introduce an accent color. Deep aubergine introduces a richness to a gray color palette.
