Comments (5)Hi again! I love looking at your marble again! Personally, I think the 4" bs is dated. Yours look good though because that marble is so stunning. I don't know if I've ever seen a 4" strip of counter material and tile above. If I have I didn't notice it. It seems like the proportions might not look right. I usually like just a tile bs because it gives a chance to bring in some more character, interest, texture or just plain bling. Hopefully Boxerpups, our genius who can come up with kitchen photos of just about anything you can think of, will hop in and provide you some images of what you're thinking about doing. Have you found the Finished Kitchen Blog yet? It contains photos and details of dozens and dozens of members' finished kitchens. There is a feature where you can watch a slideshow of just backslashes folks here have done. Or you can search kitchens that have marble tops and look at what they did for bs. I don't have the link on the iPad, but if you google Finished Kitchen Blog you'll find it....See MoreNeed Help Choosing Backsplash & Sink For New Venetian Gold Granit
Comments (7)Without seeing the slab it's hard to know for sure but here's one from Jeffrey Court's Antico Portugese line color Country Gray: These are kinda cool. I know nothing about the pricing. These are cement mosaic tiles by Villa Lagoon Tile. The colors are complements to Sherman Williams colors. I like the Pearl Gray below. It's a match to SW Mindful Gray. Last one for now, a more traditional 6x6 Italian Tile: This was from http://www.ceramic-tile4u.com/ . Budget tile too at $4.04 sq. ft. It was their Arpa Star tile in gray. That site has HUNDREDS of tiles to look at. May be WAY time consuming but worth a look. Good luck!...See MoreHelp, please! Your vote on backsplash.
Comments (22)I'd vote for ceramics in a soft neutral color. The combo of bs and counter you show do not work together tone wise. I really like something like your original ceramic pic with a nice liner tile in it to add a little jazz. We got Daltile from HD for our field tile and the price and selection were good. We were looking for 2 specific colors we could not get just right anywhere else, so went with a neutral color instead, which meant no need to spend for pricier tile. I think if you take your laminate sample and put it next to their display boards, you will find something nice. A herringbone pattern would also be lovely. You want to do something that makes it special or there is no push to the buyer to make them want yours over someone else's. Give them something to be excited about....See MoreI need help, advice, critique etc with my new kitchen backsplash
Comments (91)Mexican white 'field tile" and accent tiles from http://www.finecraftsimports.com/ fine Crafts and Imports out of Camarillo, CA. GREAT company to work with BTW! We got the mural here https://mexican-tile.net/Kitchen-Tile-Mural-Mexican-Kitchen--P2317632.aspx , also a good company; albeit a bit slow, but the mural comes from Mexico. BTW, Suggest you have a pro install the mural, because if you break one of the mural tiles you are SOL...........See MoreUser
