Comments (7)If your stove has knobs, just pull off the knobs for the oven controls and stick them in a drawer. That's what I do for burners that I don't want used because I've got something on top of them. If it's digital, I suppose you could stick some electric tape over the control to remind you! :)...See MoreWhats Cookin
Comments (7)I'm terrible about lenses I use the same 70 300 with stabilizer for everything! It is so much like SDLM I don't think it would make any difference to propagate it. I got a Chimera this year also part pink part white that usually happens in the fall for some reason! src="http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1600x1200q90/841/ndh83.jpg" border="0"> SDLM has about 40 blooms. Kronprincessin is just about 5 ft tall and had about 30 blooms madam Wagram continues to be disappointing after 5 years I have only ever gotten 3 blooms in a Spring Flush Pat Austin & Capt Dyel de Graville The Spring Blooms always nod the 2nd flush they usually remain upright I have one other sport of SDLM which is SDLM Rouge and it has struggled for 3 years now & is still only about 1 foot tall & I cut the bud off it hoping for more growth!...See MoreGot snow? Whatcha cookin' this weekend?
Comments (38)Love those snow angels! Momj's cat has the right idea. And David... those rolls.. yummm... Both of us have colds. As Christy was hacking across the pillow the other night I knew my turn was coming and sure enough yesterday it set in. So today as I mentioned on the spilt pea thread we made two pounds of split pea soup. I was going to make biscuits but wasn't feeling that great so we are having toast croutons with it. That's what my Mother always made so that's always nice to have good memories along with a bowl of goodness. I love cornbread with it but Christy doesn't so I if I feel better tomorrow I'll make some so I can have it for a couple days while I have the soup for breakfast and lunch. Smiles. Tomorrow, since she's not quite up to par, Christy is going to make one of her comfort foods, weenie stew. Hot dogs cooked in a tomato sauce with N.O. seasonings [grn. pepper, onion, celery and garlic] and served over mashed potatoes. Surprisingly good and super easy. It finally started snowing here. Everything has a good covering but that's about it so far. It has been quite cold. Ten in the mornings and up to about sixteen during the day. It stays colder here on our little hill than the surrounding area. Hopefully we won't get this much this time. Smiles. Just thought I'd throw this pet pic in. This was from our Dec. blizzard....See MoreWhats everyone cookin this week?
Comments (26)Since going back to work after having Dan, I do as much of my cooking and preparation on Sunday for the week as I can. I can't be bothered to 'cook' after work. This also saves clean up during the week usually. I've also been trying to use up stuff I already have one hand so that has guided my choices this week. I spent less on groceries this week than I have in ages. Monday: Spaghetti and Meat Sauce, breadsticks The meat sauce and spaghetti are both cooked and stored separately. I will heat them both up after work while I cook the bread sticks (frozen) in the toaster oven Tuesday: Smothered Chicken and Rice I cooked the peppers, onions and mushrooms today. I'll marinate the chicken the Tuesday morning before I leave for work. I'll cook the chicken on the Griddler (or maybe the the gas grill), top with the vegetable mixture and some cheddar cheese. It's a knockoff of something I've had in a restaurant. I'll heat up the rice that I cooked today and add some seasonings to it. Wednesday: An Asian pork medallion recipe that's quick enough to cook after work with ramen noodles (not something I cook a lot but Nick loves them and since we're already having rice on Tuesday, it's something fast and different). Egg rolls in the toaster oven. Thursday: Hot dogs with sauerkraut, French fries. We always have salad on hand too. Friday we leave for Great Wolf for the weekend....See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
