Painting kitchen cabinets - Which white?

Hello! I am looking for some advice on which white to have my kitchen cabinets done in. This will be the second time..I'm getting my cabinets done. I found two companies that repaint cabinets with a "factory finish". My house is 15 years old with beige floor tile which will need to stay. I'm looking to add more gray to match furnishings. I'm leaning towards SW extra white since it is a neutral white. Any other ideas? Also, I'm planning to have my island leveled from the current two level style. Is it worth the cost? Thanks!

How do they accomplish this? Remember the Yugo's were produced in a factory too.

If you're looking for a nice 'whiter-white' without being too stark, check out Benjamin Moore Simply WHite. The 1st pic below is using BM Seashell. (this is not one of my rooms...I wish though) I tried the colour in my place and it didn't work with my lighting, but I think it's lovely here. (I had to try given the name & my love of seashells:)) The 2nd pic is my Living Room using Benjamin Moore Windswept. It's more creamy with a light yellow-ish tone-maybe not as yellow as it appears in this pic. I used it in my last house with white cabinets and really liked it, but again, it didn't work in my current kitchen with white cabinets. White is hard to get right...keep playing until you get the right one for your lighting. Good Luck:)!!

Thank you, lam and peppy doodle! I have to admit I was a little bit in shock when they first took down the tape because it looked so different, but now I'm loving the change! I'm glad I'm not regretting it. I keep sneaking back into the kitchen to look at it. Seems so much brighter and lighter than before, but still warm enough with the creamy white. I can't wait to see it with the doors back on and new hardware installed. Snookums - thanks for the tip. I'm trying to keep everyone out of the kitchen and the painters are very careful, but good to know. I'd hate to have a can of paint spill all over my slate floor!

It's really useful to pick and lock up your counter material before choosing the more variable paint color. Get a small sample. You want to be sure they go together. BM has Cabinet Coat as well as Advance for painting cabinets. Make sure your painter is using one of those products. When it comes to the color get a large sample made up to see in your light conditions before you give the approval.

I can’t speak to the other colors, but I recently used Peppercorn on exterior doors and a brick fireplace. I’m very happy with the look. Gray with only a hint to the blue. Here’s pics.

Extra White is very, very stark. I would be sure to look at large paint samples in your kitchen to see how it looks with your lighting. You may want to go with something that has a touch of warmth like BM Simply White to soften it up a bit.

I painted my laundry room BM Capital White. M DH insisted I had used a green tinged paint. Our house is in the trees and the green outside affected the white inside. Paint some samples of the white you want, but look at it in your room, morning, noon, night, rain or sun.

What colr are your cabinets now? Maybe the answer is to change the floor since that will IMO never look good with grays.As for the white if you keep the floors then a warmer white.
