My amazing bathroom update!

Finally finished my bathroom project! was quite the journey I am very happy with my results! Clear Ideas, LLC put the finishing touch in yesterday, my beautiful, custom made shower door! Used a local contractor for the complete over haul of my master bath, Dave Dunaway does fabulous work! See for yourself!

Glad you are happy with the work. Due to the really low ceiling in the shower, I think you should have waterproofed and tiled the shower ceiling.

Have to ask, why the raised up toilet? Drain slope issue? That set up would not work for the majority of people. It would have made more sense to extend that step out ... unless you are all over 6 ft tall and wanted a really tall toilet.

We asked for raised toilet, he is 6-4, I don't mind it at all, easier for me to clean the toilet base! Good point on ceiling, may mention that if it seems to be an issue.

Agree that this is a very nice bath, and I can't imagine using a calendar to tell me when I no longer like the looks of something. Frameless is a good idea, and I'd consider replacing those light-killing plantation shutters with some top-down blinds that will preserve the privacy while letting in the sunshine. That and looking for other places to hang towels (back of door, remaining walls, etc) and I'd call it a day. Bathrooms become tens of thousands very quickly once you start ripping out tile...

I had the acrylic tub/shower in our main bath sprayed over 5 years ago. It went from harvest gold to white. We have had no problems with chipping or peeling, looks as good as it did when it was done. I would definitely do it again, just be sure to get someone with really good experience/references.

I'm guessing your existing bath is about 15' long. That's not "slightly bigger" than 11' long, that's 36% bigger. 4' makes a world of difference in bathroom design, as it gives you room for a tub at the end. I guess I can see one (crowded) solution: put the toilet where the vanity is now, put the vanity in the alcove, tear down the wall between tub and toilet, put a tiny 3x3 shower in the corner (you might be able to eke out 3'x4' if you're lucky), and a tub next to it. This will work if you hate tub/shower combos more than you hate tiny showers. I wouldn't do it, because I like me some elbow room. But we all have different preferences, so that might work for you.

Cannot argue with how it turned out, that is for sure. It looks great!! The guy doing our tile in the bathroom said we were wrong for our choice of shower floor and accent tile, but we liked them, and think it looks great. That is all that really matters anyway, right?

That toilet and shower are both an illegal non code compliant hillbilly hack that reflects very poorly on the company that you are attempting to shill for here. Among many other issues that this has in this non code compliant bathroom.

And it is now forever on the internet for future customers to see how hacks leave disaster in their wake. SPAMMER.
