Which granite should I pick - Ivory Fantasy, Saturnia or other
Comments (6)Thanks. I brought some unsealed samples of Ivory Fantasy and they did very well. I am unable to get samples for the other granite - but am assured that oil and stains will not be an issue. Yes - these are iPhone photos. I will get some better pictures. The granites I have picked will probably both look good - but one blends with the back splash the other contrasts. In an otherwise light colored kitchen, maybe the contrast will look good.......See MoreWhich desk should I pick?
Comments (18)Of the two, my vote goes for the PB one without the hutch. Do check not just the height of the desk, but the depth. I find deeper desks to be most practical as you can set stuff along the back and still have space to spread out on front. One thing that would bother me about that desk, is there is not storage for files. Also, if you need to store paper and/or legal envelopes in the drawers, I'd check the inside width of the drawers to see if it can accomodate that. If you are open to other choices, I've seen similar vintage desks to the PB one on CL. They are usually vanity desks with very pretty lines. Here is one below that I would love in my bedroom. Comments (25)I like dark floors.... Feels more grounded. They can be harder to keep looking dust-free, so if that's a concern for you, then don't listen to me at all, lol. The glazed cabinets are really nice (I'm totally drooling over here), and I can't help but want to go as dark as you can on the floor, to coordinate with the darker lines on the cabs. I like contrast, though, between floor and cabinets (and again between cabs and counter)... Seems most folks like to blend. :-D If my monitor is properly color-calibrated, I see a lovely green in your counters, and if your backsplash is also green, then I'm all for it! I even zoomed as far out as I could on my screen, so that I could see everything together. Looks beautiful! What color grout are you going with on the backsplash? Warm beige?...See MoreWhich IKEA bath vanity color should I pick? High Gloss Gray vs. White
Comments (9)wow your choices are almost identical to mine. We also got the Godmorgon vanity (but in walnut) as we felt we were doing so much gray and white everywhere, we needed to warm it up with a different tone. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I'd probably pick gray over white, because the vanity top will be white as well. We have a very small bathroom and I don't feel the dark vanity really makes it feel claustrophobic!...See MoreUser
