Where do you live? Do you get cold winters? Are you wanting a cozy room or cool and fresh? How much natural light is in there? What color is the flooring and your furniture?

Dyan, look at SW's Natural Linen or Aesthetic White. They're coordinating colours to Stone Lion on their website and look similar in "undertone" to the print in your navy floral fabric (on my monitor at least). What colour is your trim? You don't "need" to go light but light walls and dark furniture often offer a pleasing contrast. It's personal preference, really. (I would have difficulty choosing a wall colour without seeing all the furniture in place in the room.)

Paint is usually the last item to be chosen and is based on fabrics and textiles to be used in your room. What rugs, upholstery and drapery are you planning? That should give you a key to unlock the paint choice.

The warm browns and rusts in your stone are trending again, at least for interiors. I love the green-y hues above. I also like the light blue that you currently have, except paint the sidelights too. You have a very pretty house!
