Garage Door Wall Button Console - How to Open or Remove? (photos)
Comments (1)I got the solution from the Overhead Door company. In the interest of helping anyone else with the same problem, I'm posting it here. Squeeze firmly on either side. The front pops off - and it contains the circuit board. The back is just a plastic plate screwed to the wall. See photos below. Sure am glad I didn't go at it with the screwdriver! Comments (3)For me the white is okay in your case. There's enough white on the rest of the home for balance so the garage doors don't pull as much focus. The only suggestion is you might think about garage doors with windows across the top...at some point. They're just more attractive and add interest IMO....See MoreDesign Dilemma - Very small garage

Comments (22)I think that removing the right wall of the alcove will be very problematic. You'll be left with crown molding (which is very nice, by the way) jutting out into "nowhere." It will also create problems with trying to patch the floor where the wall was removed. Personally, I don't like the look of the supporting left wall jutting out into the room by itself. I would leave both walls of the alcove intact. I like the idea of putting a fireplace in the space where the alcove currently is, provided that you can vent it to the outside. Venting fireplaces to the inside of the house is not a safe way to do it. If a fireplace won't work, I would do built-in storage cabinets in the lower part of the alcove. I would "fill in" the space where the TV should be by having new framing and drywall installed. The idea is to "fill in" the alcove and have the surface of the cabinetry and new drywall for the TV flush with the surface of the existing left and right alcove walls....See Moresuezbell
