Hello! Just an update to the original post. My 8.5 month pregnant wife and I put some sweat equity into our new home build today. Peel and stick wallpaper from the Scott Brothers collection. It was not as easy and fun as the all of the YouTubers claimed but we persevered and are happy with the result. Wife gets all the credit. Thankfully we chose an option without a repeating pattern that needed to perfectly line up. 30” base drawer/cabinet on either end of wall with stained butcher block countertop and two floating shelves planned.

Looks great! I really like the painting on the adjacent wall too and might be the angle of the photo but it looks a little high - your guests will all be seated in that room - recommend hanging it at “gallery” viewing height: “Hang Artwork at Eye Level: A common mistake when it comes to art installation is hanging pieces neck-craningly high. Do what museums do: Keep artwork at eye level. A good rule of thumb is to hang art so that its midpoint is between 57 and 60 inches from the floor. Once you pick the midpoint, stick with it for consistency. For a grouping of works, simply envision the collection as one piece of art.”

No wallpaper on the TV wall, it's too distracting. I would wait to decide on whether or not to change the paint color on the TV wall until you finish decorating that room. For example, the area rug in there seems boring to me. That room would be so improved with a lively rug such as a hand woven tribal. Or if you like a more traditional rug, a hand-knotted Persian is always perfect. The paint colors and the wainscoting are fine, and you can continue the waiscoting in the hallway if you want. I would not paint the stairway a different color. You don't want the house to give a choppy feeling, especially with the open plans they have nowadays. If you are in love with a particular wallpaer, you can cut a few rectangular pieces and put them up spaced, and frame them with pieces of molding and they look as though they are works of art. This looks very nice in a dining room. I don't particularly care for the wallpaper you chose. It is very dense and a bit odd. I would find not restful or happy or inspiring. If you are bound and determined to have it somewhere, maybe have it as an accent wall behind your headboard in the master bedroom. Often people go bold with the wallpaper in the first floor powder room, but I would find it too disturbing for even there. I can't see the alligator piece very well, but I am wondering if it doesn't belong in a children's room? I don't understand what you are asking about the bathroom.

My husband is an old school paperhanger/painter (We have Gracie wallpaper panels in our living room - google it - is is worth seeing) and he will tell you peel and stick is ridiculous. It may be because he considers himself a craftsman but he dislikes it and won't hang it.
