Guess who I had breakfast with Saturday and lunch with today??
Comments (29)Crazy, busy weekend here again due to many things. Thanks for all the cool and supportive responses. All of the troops need those no matter the country. Justin knows about all y'all and as always asked what's up with your foodie/cooking friends....way before his military thing. We were talking today at the lake and he thinks he was...yikes.. 13 or 14 when he first tried Sharon's pickles from a swap years ago. Man time flies! Thanks again everyone but this guy has to get to hit the hay so to speak. Justin and his group got the best of me at the lake today. OY! I'm starting to feel my age.....LOL! Comments (20)Humming bird cake homemade has moved to my #1 favorite cake. I had never heard of it before my neighbor made some and brought us over a slice. She knows we are diabetics so she doesn't do it often and we are careful. She makes it spectacular. I will give her my ripe bananas when I have some. I should have given her some today. She is a wonderful baker. We are no longer neighbors next door but still in the same area and best friends. Today she brought us each a homemade cookie shaped like a heart as a house warming gift lol. And she gifted me a vintage, expensive, Betty Crocker cookbook. It was one both of us lost in the flood....See MoreFirst Saturday in November -- It's Dundee Time!

Comments (18)Too early for breakfast here.......I am only on my second cup of coffee! Give me a couple of hours :-) I am kinda off traditional breakfast foods this week - just bored with them I guess. I made a wild blackberry cobbler yesterday that is sounding appealing (it was darn good still warm last night!) or leftover sausage and mushroom flatbread...........Whatever, it will be fast and easy....See MoreWalnutCreek Zone 7b/8a
