SW Greige/Gray/Beige for exterior -- thoughts?
Comments (2)Hi McFlurry we just went through the same thing we wanted grays with a beige tone. We picked SW Perfect Greige for bottom, SW spalding gray for shakes and SW turkish coffee for shutters and accent...our door will be stained as well. I don't think you can go wrong with any colors you picked....adaptive shade is really nice. Good luck!!...See MoreCan't locate BM Pelican Gray and Classic Gray chip sample at local...
Comments (4)Thanks, Hockeymom... I ended up buying a sample from the hardware store of Pelican Gray, but it appeared too silvery blue. I think i'm going with Harbor Gray. like the shade, but slightly drab . Do you happen to know how much a difference in depth of color it would be if I asked for, let's say, 75% of the color and 25% white I guess? Do they do that? I seem to remember doing that years ago. Really don't want to spend another 7 bucks on another sample....See MoreBM Classic Gray with tan/brown floor tiles?
Comments (9)I don't understand. You want griege, which doesn't work w/the tiles (as you have encountered). You're choosing colors that have too much gray in them. What's wrong w/Loggia or Shiitake? I think either of those would be great w/your floor tile. similar to Balboa Mist, but has more of the yellow tones to it. Or, have you tried these? You have a dominant tile floor. if you don't want to match the tone of the tile, then choose a contrasting color. (blues/ greens, etc) But to try and force a certain color range to work in that spot is silly. However, here are some of those tones you like. maybe you can find one. if you lighten the grout in those tiles, you may find certain colors work better. Grout Renew...See MoreHELP!!! BM Classic Grey looks BABY BLUE!
Comments (7)I think he just tinted primer for better coverage since it was going over gold. Maybe he was going to try and only have to do 1 coat plus tinted primer, but he is going to do 2 coats. Benjamin Moore said that tinted primer may show more blue then the regular paint so I am hoping that gets rid of some of the undertone ice blue that I am seeing. I did put the original sample board next to the paint and it does match up. Good news is that when I put my white cabinet door next to the paint on walls, it gets rid of that blue tone. I am thinking that maybe my old dove white trim is working against the paint and it will be fine when the brighter white trim goes up. Here are the photos: Also do you think Calcutta Gold Quartz will work? It seemed like it also worked when I put it near paint....See Morerobinbohbot
