Polaris pool cleaner: way to make it move faster with good water
Comments (0)Here is the wayÂ..First of all check the finger screen in the wall fitting. It might be plugged up. Then see if the unit is climbing all the way up the walls. If so it is doing okay. Put a piece of black tape (or make a mark) on one of the drive wheels. Hold the unit under water and count the revolutions per minute. (You need the mark so you can see the wheel go round. Twenty eight to thirty two revolutions per minute is optimal. If it falls in that range the unit is functioning well. If too slow then have the head repaired. If it is an older unit the feed hose may be the trouble. Vinyl gets stiff in cold water. Softens up as the water warms but never gets as pliable as before it got cold. I've seen hoses so stiff they'd snap when bent! Replace the hose. Also, check the hose floats. They absorb water and become "sinkers", thereby putting more drag on the head unit. The head has to pull the hose. An old stiff hose with heavy floats takes away a lot of efficiency. If still you faces any obstacles then make a visit to aquabot to get all answers respective to yours problems. And finally, remember that it is a pool cleaner-- NOT a speedboat. It will not clean as efficiently if it goes too fast....See MoreAir Brush Make-Up
Comments (1)I've never had it done, but I would recommend you do a trial run well ahead of time. I believe there a multiple brands they use with the air brush, not just one. I had my hair and makeup done before one of my fittings. I have a lot of allergies (and asthma) and I wanted to make sure nothing the makeup artist used would bother me. She made a list of everything used and that is what she used on my wedding day. One thing I would do is a few fake lashes. Just a few (3 clumps of 2-3 on each eye) on the outer edge. It opens and widens the eye. Of course if you have spectacular lashes this doesn't apply to you....See MoreWhat makes a makeup brush good?
Comments (12)I don't know what 'makes a good brush good' but I have always heard sable bristles are the best. Others say synthetic are fine. I wear mostly Bobbi Brown makeup so I started investing in their line of brushes a long time ago and they have held up really well. The only ones I have had to replace are the ones I use and wash frequently such as the fine tip eyeliner brush. I have a BB face blender brush I received free that I use on occasion for a particular illuminating powder that does shed a hair or two when I use it & it doesn't appear to be sable. The others almost never shed but this one does. Easy to pick the one hair off my face though....See MoreAny advice on getting soap out of make up brush??
Comments (14)Here's a youtube. This is how I've cleaned my make up brushes as well as my paint brushes. You don't need the brush cleaner he speaks of for your make up brush, just the technique of rolling it around in the palm of your hand. It may take a while to get all the soap out, as make up brushes are considerably denser than paint brushes. at the time frame 1:41 where he's "bending" the bristles back & forth, this is really good for working the soap out. Good luck!...See Morealways1stepbehind
