I like all of it! I like the tiles and I especially love that you are going with terrazzo flooring. I absolutely hated to lose my terrazzo floors after the flood but it was a must. I do still have terrazzo white in my atrium but they are not very white right now. I have a guy over today and tomorrow cleaning all of the windows and skylights and he will power wash the atrium terrazzo too. You are going to love it! Don't second guess! Just go for it. I would look at other brands of faucets because I too have seen similar for less.

I like the contrasting gray grout, but for resale (in my area - mostly 100 year old homes, HCOL) I'd definitely go with matching (white) grout (well, just a bit off white to hide dirt). While many do like the gray grout on white tile, plenty are turned off by it. I doubt many buyers would be actually turned off by white grout on white tile. Its just 'safer,' at least according to real estate agents where I live (I asked many when I was doing my master bath). And, if the tile work isn't very straight, the contrasting color will magnify that problem. With similar color grout you won't notice tile issues as much. I guess the best thing to do - if you are concerned about resale - is ask a real estate broker in your town. HTH!

The skirting is inside the shower, but the difference in the depth of the tile at the upper edge of the skirting and the large tile is not much. Yes, the cornice piece has a slight edge, but no more than the Sonoma tile. Here is the profile of the Sonoma tile. I completely understand the concern of the protruding edges or ledges, but I'm not sure how you'd get the look without that detail. I don't mind using a squeegee or wiping down the shower after use. As has been discussed in other threads about the microfiber towels, wiping down the shower keeps it looking like new and requires very little 'cleaning'. We currently have 4" square white tile in the shower with white grout and after 25 years, it still looks very good. With the larger tile on the bottom 2/3 of the shower, we'll have a lot fewer grout lines.

Flo, thanks so much. I just got home from the tile shop. I like the basket weave with the black dot (not the dark grey I was considering) and the guy I’ve been working with at the shop suggested just buying field tile that matches the dot and use that as the liner on the rug (cut into 1/2” strips). His thought on the wall is to either use that same liner, to match the dot, or skip it. I’m leaning towards skipping it and letting the floor be the focal point. Do you still think this a tough tiling job? Is it the basket weave or herringbone subway or ...all of it together?. I imagined that the wainscoting would be easy. To answer your question, no I don’t dye my hair at home, but thanks for the heads up.
