You would typically have a console table under the TV, but your sectional is so large it doesn't appear that you have any space there at all. I would move the TV down a foot, and about a foot to the left, so the side is even with the side of the sectional. Then put one large vertical piece of art on the wall between the TV and the window.

I know, this is our first house and you learn a lot! The sectional IS too big. I was thinking about removing the chaise. The bottom part is detachable and then I could have a seamstress shorten the chaise cushion so it is just a L-shaped sectional without the chaise. Then a console table will fit. The TV is centered on the wall now. Are you saying it should be centered with the couch instead?

If you can remove that entire chaise piece, you can leave the TV centered on the wall (but move it lower about a foot) and then get a low, long, narrow console to use on the wall. I would look for a white one with closed storage, which will help with toys. Look for something simple like this example, either wall mounted or with legs.

Wait until you have the console in place. You could put a lamp on one end and art on the wall on the other end. It depends on the exact sizing. I wouldn't do two symmetrical pieces.
