Comments (7)Chiflipper is right. Repairs first, then cosmetics. Easy and inexpensive to fix the railing(s). As for the stairs, I would go in this direction for cosmetic changes or really gray treads and white risers....See MoreNeed help with a small entry way. Need help with small entry way
Comments (7)I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it....See Moreporch and entry landscape needs help!
Comments (10)I would not build something to outline the patio. You have a garden to do that. Most gardens don't look at their best in early spring, when plants haven't leafed out yet. You could put something like artemesia to edge your planting beds. That would be an outline. I'm not sure the yellow really goes. I'd be inclined to paint the bench and the table on the porch a blue that goes with your shutters and punch up some color with a pink that matches the tulips (or whatever color your roses? are they roses? will be). Like with pillows on the bench. You have a lot of items in your entryway. My observation is that elegant entries have a few bold, coordinated items. You have 4 stools/tables, 2 of them with empty urns on them. The table is above the window sill. It looks random, not designed. The urns go well will your house color, the yellow table doesn't. It's hard to judge what you should keep, because maybe you use that table often. And, of course, a lot of the great pics you see on Houzz are staged and professionally photographed. It you removed the yellow table and whatever table is in the corner by the door, bought big bouquets of flowers in colors that go with the house (a lot of tulip pink, a dab of blue) for the urns and placed them carefully, got the bow on your wreath to match, and took a pic from the right angle on a sunny day, you'd have a pretty impressive picture....See MoreNEED HELP with how to COZY UP FRONT ENTRY & PORCH AREA
Comments (2)No on the window because, IMO, it is too shabby chic for you home…lovely, by the way. Indoor/outdoor runner up to front door; rattan furniture, all working with a new front door color. Suggesting B.M. Somerville Red for the door AND the storm door. Art, instead of the window, your choice, of course, this is from greatbigcanvas.com region Florida. Out door sofa (love the look) and indoor/outdoor runner are from all modern.com. The faux croc pillow cover is from etsy.com. Instead of 2 18 x 18’s, I think three lumbars would work out better. Couple of garden stools in white. These are from Hayneedle. Add perennial climbing vines on the columns. Would ever consider painting the columns black?...See Moretardan
