How should I decorate the area under the stairs?
Comments (6)Here's a link to the other thread you started on this subject with some replies. Have to say these new pics are helpful to see what else is going on there and it's so much nicer/prettier than your first pictures: http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/4515878/how-should-i-decorate-the-area-under-the-stairs Now that we can see more of the area and how the stairs are configured, I think I'd just arrange your furniture however it works best for the way you'll use the room (I'm not sure if you're asking for furniture arrangement help or ?) and put a small chest up against the base of the stairs. Maybe something a little vintage, not too deep? something fun and unexpected, colorful?...See MoreHow would I decorate this living area based on the word play?
Comments (20)Lil, you're offering up thoughtful ideas in response to a very vague question that changes shape and just getting grouchy, rude replies. I think it's a troll. :)...See MoreHow do I decorate an 80's living area using art?
Comments (1)Kevin, are you trolling us, or just really terrible at asking questions? This is about the 15th thread you've started asking related questions about the same two rooms. Eighties style, 90s style, decorate around the word "play," but you don't want to paint or change any of the furniture or give us any additional information. No hints about what elements of 80s (or 90s) art/design you are interested in. No hints of your budget or what you like or what your goals are. No sign that you've liked anything that has been suggested so far. This game of 20 Questions stopped being interesting 8 threads ago. Here is a link to a bunch of actual 1980s art. https://www.1stdibs.com/art/paintings/period/1980s/...See MorePlease help me decorating my new house sitting area in kitchen.
Comments (5)The first thing I would recommend is that you educate yourself in the different decor styles. You have several going on here. 1. Put in top search box (one at a time) transitional, contemporary, modern, etc. Have a plan before you begin. 2. Get a narrow three hole binder and include the following categories: stores, budget, ideas, etc. Get loose leaf paper, and plastic top loading pockets. 3. I would put a huge wall decor piece over the couch. Window treatments - same color as the walls. Get from your local artist or art.com. Only get a print and get it framed locally. Rug - make sure it goes under the entire seating area - and more. Lighting - a table lamp or wall sconce in each corner at chest height. You can have pattern, and pick one small print and one large print that goes together. 4. Look at your decor styles from #1. for ideas. Measure twice, buy once....See Moresuezbell
