How should I decorate the area under the stairs?
Comments (12)We need to see more, and from different angles. I too would like to know what country you are in because that would influence decorating ideas as well. Also if you are renting, or if the is your own....See MoreHow should I decorate the area under the stairs?
Comments (6)Here's a link to the other thread you started on this subject with some replies. Have to say these new pics are helpful to see what else is going on there and it's so much nicer/prettier than your first pictures: http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/4515878/how-should-i-decorate-the-area-under-the-stairs Now that we can see more of the area and how the stairs are configured, I think I'd just arrange your furniture however it works best for the way you'll use the room (I'm not sure if you're asking for furniture arrangement help or ?) and put a small chest up against the base of the stairs. Maybe something a little vintage, not too deep? something fun and unexpected, colorful?...See MoreHow do I decorate an 80's living area using art?
Comments (1)Kevin, are you trolling us, or just really terrible at asking questions? This is about the 15th thread you've started asking related questions about the same two rooms. Eighties style, 90s style, decorate around the word "play," but you don't want to paint or change any of the furniture or give us any additional information. No hints about what elements of 80s (or 90s) art/design you are interested in. No hints of your budget or what you like or what your goals are. No sign that you've liked anything that has been suggested so far. This game of 20 Questions stopped being interesting 8 threads ago. Here is a link to a bunch of actual 1980s art. https://www.1stdibs.com/art/paintings/period/1980s/...See MoreHow would you decorate this living room?
Comments (17)I like decoenthusiaste's general layout. I think using the sofa to separate the living space from the entrance, and having a small dining table on the other side of the room by the kitchen would avoid having a big empty space in the center of your room. The sofa table is a great idea. Since this is a smaller space, one with a couple of drawers for keys, mail, etc. could work great. I am not sure if your pictures are distorting the dimensions of the room, but it seems like the far wall (adjacent to windows) would require more furniture than just a TV. I would do something symmetrical on each side. Something similar to the photo below. Mount the TV on the wall above the TV stand. Add two taller piece of furniture on each side. Put a chair on the window wall with a very small side table. The sofa in the picture would work well, and you could add a small table on the wall opposite the windows with some kind of art or photo display above it....See MoreUser
