Spokane WA showroom for bigger slabs of quartz on display

Where can I see large slabs of quartz in Spokane WA. I find it challenging to view the 12 x 12 tiles and envision in my kitchen.

We stopped st Mario Bros yesterday and had been talking about quartz and the woman said there are places in Spokane that have large quartz on display. We had been to FloForm and they have a gorgeous display of Cambria. She mentioned some other places and I didn’t write them down figuring I could google it and figure it out, but I can’t.

Is there anywhere to see Pental, Hanstone or Viatera in large pieces or in display. There are some patterns in these brands that I like but I need to see them bigger?

Quartz is not generally stored at fabricators. It’s special ordered in from the distributors as the sales are made. If you can’t extrapolate from the larger 12x12 samples, perhaps work with a design professional. . The ability to create a selections list from smaller sample is a key skill of a designer. As is the ability to do so unemotionally and objectively.

I found that I could see whole quartz slabs at the stone yards. Each carried a different brand, so there was some driving involved, but they had them displayed along with the natural stone. That said, your options in Spokane may be more limited, as I don't think Pental has a location there, for example. If you're heading to Seattle any time soon I suspect you'd have a much easier time there.

I find it interesting that in an earlier comment it was mentioned that the slabs are stored outside. However immediately below is an answer from QM about whether their quartz can be used outside. I don't believe 93% quartz and 7% resin is the amount used in Breton technology. When I spoke to another company which makes quartz in China, I was told that they use the Samsung method and that it is not heated to the high degree that the Breton technology uses. I chose not to purchase the quartz made in China. Can Quartz Master be used outdoors? Please note that outdoor use of our products is not covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Quartz Master’s products have not been tested under prolonged exposure to UV rays. Unfortunately, installing our products outdoors will render our Lifetime Warranty null and void.

My wife and I had shopped for months trying to decide between quartz or granite. We settled on Cambria Quartz in Parys blue. We had seen small samples of our color but never a complete slab. When our slabs were ready to be cut, we were notified that there were black spots throughout the slabs. We drove the 60 miles to see what they were talking about. There were dime size black splotches throughout the slabs and was told this is normal for our color. This was the first we had heard of this. This was unacceptable and decided to wait for the next shipment to arrive in a month or 2. So the new tops have not come in yet and we are not sure what will happen when they arrive. My biggest fear is that all the countertops will have flaws in them which will lead us to maybe switching to granite. We had no idea that there would be flaws in quartz countertops. The big selling point for quartz is the no sealing and the uniform consistency between slabs of the same color.

OntarioMom: Thanks once again for the reply. My wife and I first went to Stone Innovations and talked to the nice lady at the counter, she was very helpful and eventually showed us the dozen slabs they had in the back but recommended other slab locations. She answered all our questions and invited us to have them give us an estimate when we found the granite/quartz we choose. We then drove to Granite Worx where we spoke to Rob and toured the dozens of slabs they had and again we were asked to allow them to be there fabricator by giving us an estimate. We were told that type of granite we looked at which had blotches were a grade four to five and would cost approximately $70-$80.00 per sq. ft installed. We didn't find anything we liked there so we went to our last slab place. One the way home we stopped off at MSI International and had to sign in and were led to the slab area. They don't fabricate but did mention it would take approximately 1/2 hr to tour the 4 rows of 3 cm granite rows. In a matter of 10 minutes were were ready to leave as there was nothing that caught our eye. There is no pricing on any slab, only grading which I'll assume the fabricator then prices out our requirements. Next week we'll try, HillTop,and Interstone.

It won't let me tag your name, so I'm hoping you're getting notified when I reply! That looks EXACTLY like mine, except mine are everywhere. My kitchen is surrounded by large windows so maybe that's why I'm able to see so many? Or maybe my guys just consistently rubbed too hard 🙄 Does your kitchen have a lot of natural light coming in from different directions? May be possible you have more but just can't see them. The small section near my stove doesn't get direct light and it's the only spot that looks normal. It's deceiving. Do you know if your fabricators guys have been wiping your counters with acetone or lacquer thinner after they install? That may be why it keeps happening? I've researched literally hours daily, even called other fabricators and it is VERY common for them to wipe the counters off with one of those cleaners to get rid of any epoxy, markings from cut lines, water spots made during fabrication etc. From what I've gathered most brand countertops aren't effected, HOWEVER, I believe Daltile's tops don't react well to it. I was able to recreate the streaks near identical by wiping my scrap piece with acetone and lacquer thinner (if you rub even a little too hard. Didn't take much pressure) I got the last slab in Houston apparently and I don't even know if they have gotten anymore in, so I may be in the same boat as you. I'm like you, the streaks were driving me crazy after saving and hunting down my tops for months. And even though they are gone now, it is annoying me that my top has lost some shine and doesn't look as smooth in raw light. Still debating with myself if it's worth a redo. Keep me updated! Pental, Handstone, and Viatera all cannot be seen in Spokane :( I have been researching counters easily for over 6 months here. We narrowed it down and liked Viatera, but couldn't see it anywhere. Pental is in Seattle. Not sure about Hanstone. Then we found a display with Pental Quarz Misterio at Prosource on E. Main (and both liked it!) - they will beat any competitors price just fyi (you need to get estimates from other places, then they will take the same estimate and beat the price - I just recently learned this.) You can see Prizm (MGX) quartz slabs in the Valley, there is a Cosentino warehouse in the valley (Silestone Quartz), Cosmos in the Valley (Cosmos brand), Bedrosians (Sequel Qaurtz.) I think those are all I can think of with large warehouse sized slabs. ProSource has samples of ALL brands of quartz (although they are small like most places, but it's helpful to have them all in one spot.) Any other questions let me know, I have been doing this quite awhile haha.
