How to Test Air Handler Condensate Pump?
Comments (2)"how do I test the pump to keep it from happening again?" Just check pump voltage rating and apply power to pump to see if it works. There is no test to keep it from happening again, however there's an optional float switch that shut's the unit down in the event pump malfunctions. You will find the switch anywhere condensate pumps are sold. Many pump/reservoir combos already have switch on them....See MoreCan I use the Condensation Pump to move water from my Washer up?
Comments (3)You can put in a sealed pit with a sewage pump which is expensive but if you want a bathroom in the basement someday it is a good first step. You can do an unsealed pit with a sump pump and run it that way as well again though you need to install a pit. Or you can do what I have seen in many homes which is run the washing machine into the existing sump pump and the route the sump pump into the sewer. If you do it this way make sure to put isolation valves in so when you aren't doing laundry you can turn the sump back outside otherwise in many locations it is illegal....See MoreIntermittent condenser on heat pump
Comments (4)Intermittent problems are like chasing ghosts sometimes. Chasing ghosts = guessing what is wrong. What would you do if every time you went somewhere the system was working, but the customer is saying there are times where the system doesn't come on? The logical steps are doing what this tech did. (Doesn't mean the guess will be right -- if the system is working when the guess is made) The more brash approach would be to sell you a completely new system. How old is this HVAC system? Given you have 2 thermostats and one unit, that is a zone system... that only complicates things further. Plenty more parts to guess at.......See MoreReplace Beckett condensate pump
Comments (1)I have no idea where you got your specs. The pump will run just fine on 115v/60Hz power; install it! https://www.supplyhouse.com/Beckett-Pumps-CB151LSUL-Medium-Condensate-Pump-w-o-Safety-Switch-17-Ft-Shutoff-1-50-HP-115V?gclid=Cj0KCQjwk4yGBhDQARIsACGfAevZ2B8t2tSebS9WrmMaFenjvz4KfTOvwerb0NPphivSyi5jf4swHQYaAo7-EALw_wcB...See MoreJoanna WW
