New videos and photos on my website
Comments (3)Jan, YEP, that too was the day it snowed in Palmdale. My older son Sean was in Palmdale that day and told me about that. I know some who really GET snow are laughing at me---but to me that IS snow even though it didn't stay. Good for you getting your baking done! I'm in the process of finishing up a whole lotta glass flowers for selling this Saturday and a friends vendor sale. I've come up with a new display and now I have a big truck to put more of them in! :-)I took some photos of the finished ones yesterday and hope to post them soon. I'll be getting work/teacher gifts wrapped and the Christmas letter all printed up today. I still cannot believe it is December. It didn't seem like November was here at all! Just flew by in Mach Speed! Love, Jules...See MoreAnyone purchased the "container gift roses" on Austin's website?
Comments (4)I bought several for the same reason that you are contemplating. These roses are in the standard DA green square 1 gallon containers. No different that any trade 1 gal rose, except the usually DA quality. They were quite healthy. Bare root would be better, but it's not April so we are not comparing apples to apples. The rose lover in me says pay a little more now and have your rose(s) mature a year earlier. Definitely not a rip-off, just funny nomenclature. I don't get the "gift" label. It's just a potted 1 gal rose that can be shipped and planted pretty much any rime....See MoreUPDATE: Best New: Best Gift Robin '2006'
Comments (104)Hi Victoria, WOW! You did such an EXCELLENT job of preparing the perfect package! Items for... brightening my garden, pampering my senses, and things to record seasonal changes, plans, thoughts for next year in my garden. I personally think she should win ~Best Gift Robin 2006~ Here is a pic of all what was sent... and I'll describe all the goodies in the box after the picture. In the box was a gorgeous clay (ceramic) Garden Angel, and a journal, cute Geddes cat pen. I plan on using the journal and pen to make notes/thoughts on the garden this year, and plans for next years garden! Also, gardening gloves/seeds were included. Italian parsley, Astilbe, Sweet Basil, Culvers Root Alba, Coriander, Nepta Subsessilis, Window box sweet peas, Monarda, Gloriosa Daisy, Dill. A few packages of Sweet Ginger peach tea --YUM! (I can't wait to try this tomorrow) and write in my new journal about all the new plans I have for several new window boxes my Husband promised to make me. Along with revamping a few flower beds! Some bulbs were included-- a bag of Crocosmia, and a flash light. Does she think of everything, or what? LOL! Jobes plant spikes..to insure some good healthly houseplants! And stuff to pamper myself with! Sugar Pear shower gel, Sugar Pear Lotion, Sugar Pear Body Butter, Sugar Pear Body Mist. I love the light scent! It smells sooooo good! Just when you thought the box couldn't carry anymore, LOL! A grooming kit, plus 2 cucumber melon candles! And the box was a gorgeous cheeta animal print along with a cheeta print hand towel! Also, a clay thermometer, potpourri, and a CD she personally 'mixed/burned' all the songs for. Its such relaxing music, I love it! I hope I didn't forget anything! I'm sooo happy with the box, you really out did yourself, Victoria! Thank you soooo much! Hugs,...See Morenew anniversary gift giving guidelines...
Comments (24)Happy Anniversary! Those are beautiful gifts, I love the color! I wonder how many people (not here, of course) would think that was a terrible gift? One of my all time favorite anniversary gifts from my husband was my first KA mixer. I believe that was our 6th. I thought it was wonderful; some women were horrified that my husband bought me an appliance for our anniversary. I was horrified that they would refer to my beautiful 5 quart white KA mixer as an "appliance". Now you can make a fabulous pot toast for your husband in his gift!...See MoreOutsidePlaying
