I don't see modern farmhouse here, unless you plan to call Chip and Joanna for a major overhaul. If you can, wait until the roof is on to make your choice. Your entry looks like a black hole. Is there brick on the garage wall in that area or will there be siding there? I think I see the edge of some siding. Can't really tell much about what should be your focal point. Have you looked into Romabio for changing your brick color, or have you matched your roof to the brick colors?

@decoenthusiaste LOL! I regretted the 'modern farmhouse' when I wrote it. I think I mean a monochrome look, darker overall, with siding, trim and fascia all one color. I am just not into the white highlighter outline look so many are doing. Want to be ahead of the trend and stand out. However, I am so afraid to get it 'wrong.' We did choose a roof color that pulls all the brick colors together. It's an overall medium to darker gray, with hints of warmth and black through. We would ideally like to avoid coating the brick. We would consider after, if it looks bad. We would really like to keep it and roll with it. The garage doors will be converted to one larger door, but yes, there is brick between, with a strip of hideous siding above currently. All to be redone. Unfortunately, we are headed into winter and the siding color needs to be selected this week, or we push to next year...and we just don't want to do that.

For a mono look, you could try matching the lightest and darkest colors in the roofing. Can you get a physical sample to take to the paint stores? Go light with the siding and dark with the trim and garage door. Pop your entry door out of the gloom with a pretty, brighter color you like.

@decoenthusiaste How light? My neighbors across did Gauntlet Gray, Which I would say is more of a mid tone. They did the white trim and it looks great, but I can’t commit to the white trim. I’ll try to snap a picture. Are you thinking whiter light? I have Iron Ore up and it’s almost black. It matches the charcoal in my brick perfectly. That would be totally opposite!

It looks like there are about 4 different colors in the roofing and maybe a few more in your brick. Right now your roof leans into brown. If you want to go gray, be sure the roofing does so. I really wouldn't want to test any colors until the roof is on. Then don't paint samples directly on the house but on large poster board or foam core. Move them around in different light and times of day, maybe different weather to see what works best with the brick and roof. Are you looking at Hardie siding? It can be factory painted if they have your color; not as many options as with paint you select, but an option if scheduling is tight. It is an excellent product too.
