I'm really liking the Capitol White. I think it would look really good in the living/dining area. Here is one picture of some sample boards. Not really large enough to show context, but it works with the space. My concern is I think it might not play nice with the color in the kitchen. Truth be told, I'm not in love with the kitchen color but I don't want to repaint. I've uploaded a photo of the sample boards in the kitchen. Last picture of downstairs bedroom. The plan would be whatever color is in the living room/dining area would flow up the stairwell. So I'd like the new color to play nice with bedroom color. I think it does. Finishing the stairwell massive painting project is next, and then I can get the flooring all put in and be done with the downstairs. I also have sampled out a few other whites too, but will save those for later.

I really like the first one better. It gives you a color to pull out and use as an accent color. I also really like the movement of the patterns on that first one too.

I had an inspection done, the plumbing and electrical are all up to date, thank God. There is no HVAC but I am going to see how this summer goes before I decide to install it through the house. I live in Virginia and the summers are hot but being up in the Blue Ridge keeps some of the humidity at bay. The windows are original and there are exterior aluminum storm windows covering them. I am hoping and praying that they are sufficient to keep the house from being windy inside. I think the cafe curtains and tension rods will work perfectly while I get settled. I was not planning on working on the exterior of the home right away but it looks like the porch roof will need to be replaced and all of the windows and trim around the exterior need to be painted. The 115 year old wood is exposed. The previous owners did NOTHING in the way of maintenance. The walls have been scribbled and written on by their children, they didn't bother to paint over it. So it has been at least 13 years since any exterior wood has been painted.

Hello @Patricia Colwell Could you please take another look here for the flooring. This is the link for the model home with the same flooring from my builder. We are planning on going with stone color for our furniture/seating. Here is our inspirational photo. Could you please suggest which color/pattern tile we should go with for the surround?
