On the floor of my 'collection room'

I used to collect jewelry when I worked in the high tech world. This little pendant 14k w/ opal(has an open back) from the Coober Pedy mine in Australia. National Geographic has a video on THIS mine...interesting I think People live "underground" here....

I love this!!! A company in Mexico has made compostable utensils made out of avocado pits! To me this is a win-win and a no-brainer.

I posted this on our local Food group and no one had anything to say except one guy who said that I should be ashamed putting the forks in right side up. Geesh, it's not my photo, it's a stock of the company.

This is a couple years old...my SIL took it.

I've been feeling guilty every time I use a plastic utensil and have started carrying a set of plastic ware in my purse to use in restaurants that provide only plastic forks and spoons. Its good to see that alternatives are being developed.

My collection is teapots, but owl show you a cute little guy that came to our farmers market last year. He's part of group of rescued birds that cannot be released so they are used for education.

I wish I had photos of owls, but I don't think I've seen any in person lately. However, it was the mascot of my alma mater.
