Photoshop Help Needed, RE: Backsplash
Comments (1)I'm thinking that would be too much harlequin. I think I would like it better if it were in a square/rectangle under the hood. Sorry. Laurie...See MoreNeed another set of eyes for backsplash decision
Comments (10)I stared at your picture for awhile and still couldn't find the skewed tiles. I don't think it's noticeable. From my experience I can see very slight imperfections in my kitchen but when looking at the whole kitchen other people don't notice it at all. For instance, a sliver of my angled plugmold is visible if you're under 5'3. It's almost the same color as the backsplash. No one has made a comment on it - but I do occasionally "see" it. When you're focused on one thing it may be noticeable but when looking at the whole kitchen you can't see it....See MoreDo I Need BackSplash? Help with Suggestions!

I'll gladly let you snatch that paint brush out of my hand. ha ha. But at the same time if a little tiling will tie up the project, then I'm game. jodi_socal: I'm a little disappointed when you said fire and ice won't work. I just LOVE that F&I BS. But then agin, I think I know all along it's a little too much for my kitchen. Caryscott & petra: Thanks for the picture petra, it says a thousand words. Is spectralight glass tiles? Prices are pretty reasonable. What about that milk green color? will it work? maybe with some garnet pieces sparingly mixed in. I will take some pictures and post two HD Behr's paint card to aid in the discussion of color. Thanks again ALL! Comments (50)Yes, shelves do interfere with venting. If the venting is the correct power and design, it will still be effective, but you will have to clean the bottom of the shelf periodically, which can be sometimes be an acrobatic endeavor. All that said, I have a large, high, stainless steel shelf and I am not sure that I could get used to not having it, despite the cleaning issue. I keep my most used bowls and mortar and pestle on it and reach for them while cooking daily. However, I suspect that you have a cleaner aesthetic than I, so you may not desire that arrangement.
