A lot of people do this and it can look really nice. I think it all depends on your personal preference and the look you are going for. Of course, it may all depend on what grade wood you have. If you do not have stain grade wood and it is not in your budget, then there is no choice but to paint it. However if it is stain grade, then you might want to reconsider. Some people have a hard time making that decision to put paint on such nice wood. My personal preference would be to not paint it if you already have really nice stained trim/moulding in other parts of your home and you can afford to keep it in your remodel. (1) Because I simply love the richness and beauty of stained trim and moulding and (2) I like continuity throughout the home. Are you planning to sell anytime soon? If so, these things might come into play with buyers as well. Stained trim is usually considered an upgrade, so it could potentially bring you more money. Also, most buyers like to see the same color trim/moulding through-out the house, no matter what color it is. However, if you are not thinking of reselling anytime soon, then I would do what makes you and your family happy! You are the ones who have to love it and live in it!

Haha.. reading my post over.. I see spelling isn't my forte* either! Anyways.. I just wanted to add.. the kids bedrooms are all visible standing in the foyer. I'm just not sure that seeing all that color when you first walk in is such a good idea? Especially the purple and pink from the girls rooms. I don't know how I'll break it to them if I change the color choices now though. :p Maybe I can make the visible from the foyer walls coordinate and still give then the purple, pink and green they desire? As accent colors? Maybe one wall? ANY suggestions/advice/feedback welcome! :D And I can post more pictures at request.. and will post after pics eventually also. :D :D

I don't think it would be strange at all. I think repeating a few things you love from room to room gives nice continuity to your house, and also gives you more leeway to mix up other elements without everything looking too hodge podge. If you like frameless beveled mirrors, you might want to check out your local Home Depot and Lowes. I got a very similar mirror to the one you linked to at Home Depot years ago for above our daughter's dresser, and I'm pretty sure they still carry it. I also love the frameless look but have mixed up the shapes from room to room (one similar to the Ballard one, round, and oval).
