Best inkjet printer?
Comments (14)I need a printer for text and some photos, as noted in my first post. I spent many hours reading reviews and there was no stand-out. Several days ago, my SIL sent a photo she printed at home of an online image of an oil painting. It was so outstanding, I could hardly believe my eyes. Hers is a Canon Pixma mg5320. I ordered an updated version, Canon Pixma mg6320 which has a gray cartridge for better b/w photos. This printer is mainly for text but I was really wowed by her photo, esp as she is not a tech person....See MorePrinter not printing in colors
Comments (3)Marie - I have a HP printer that takes the seperate ink tanks (although not the same ones as you) - when I run it out of ink, I have the same issue. Or if I have not used the printer for a while. To open the Toolbox - go to your start menu on your computer. That is the big "windows" button on the bottom left of your toolbar. Select ALL PROGRAMS and navigate to HP Solution Center. When that is open - choose "Settings" and then look for "Printer Toolbox" - When you get to the Toolbox - first "clean the printheads" - then "align the printheads" That usually fixes it for me. Sometimes I have to clean the printheads twice to get it printing good again. I am also able to access this from the buttons on my printer. There is a menu button on mine....See Moreprinter issues
Comments (1)seems printer might go into sleep/power save mode? and that might have something to do with scanner issue. maybe not. i can press button on printer for scan and than i can somehow get access to the scanner function on the computer. so, i put it on shelf. am using another printer my son had who is home for awhile. but he will leave in the next couple of months so i will be back to the bad printer....See MoreFrustrating printer error
Comments (26)Thanks, team! :-) I tried the update this morning, and it didn't do anything. But I think Dees may be onto something. I remember when I moved the printer a bit to get at the connections in back, it made a jerky "on and off" type sound that I think would be compatible with a loose connection. I tried to check the printer-computer connection this morning, but didn't succeed very well. In the process I managed to disconnect one of my monitors, but somehow restored it. With two monitors, the laser printer, my big photo printer, the flatbed photo scanner, and three speakers (yes, I have a long desk--it also holds my ham radio), a lot of wires are plugged into that computer. I'll ask my son--who plugged them all in--to check the connection for me....See MoreElmer J Fudd
