Need help picking shutter, garage door and front door colors!!
Comments (6)This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all....See MoreHelp me pick a front door color
Comments (40)I am thinking I might just go with the dark blue like I have on my back door. Since I am painting the door I want to do a new color, not red again, even though the red looked good. Originally when I posted this a year ago everyone said a burnt orange to match the tile but now the opinion seems different. Oh decisions decisions lol...See MoreHelp me pick a front door color
Comments (1)Don't forget that you can paint a door different colors on the inside and the outside (many people do). For the outside of your door, I think a dark blue might get lost or look like a dark hole so I would go with the light gray to match your other trim. On the inside, you could go blue, white, or whatever suits the rest of the room....See MoreHelp me pick front door color please!
Comments (12)Get the blackest black. when the son hits it, it will lighten it. In fact, when they go to tint the base, have them add a few extra squirts of the lampblack. I did this w/my black from BM. It was their blackest black. he added 4 more squirts of the black tint. Made a huge diff in the outcome. It's a true, deep rich black. i'll also mention, if you have access to Fine Paints of Europe, the Hollandlac paint is superb for front doors. One of the few, if not the only paints that won't fade. This is the high gloss, but they have other finishes. Oh, another color you might light is a deep Raisin. This would actually look very nice w/the brick and the charcoal shutters. And it's different....See Morecerberusdog
