Nylon Zip Ties are intended to be a permanent installation and although you can release one by inserting a pointed object, you also run a very high risk of having that pointed object slip off and go through your hand, or damaging the wires or product that is tied with the zip tie. Zip Ties are simply too cheap to risk personal injury or product damage to reusing them. Cut it off and get a new one. The proper way to remove a Zip Tie is to use a pair of electricians "Side Cutters" and cut the strap if you can get the point of the side cutter under the strap, but if the tie is installed correctly, you may not be able to get the tool under the strap. In that case, use the side cutters to cut the top off the box part of the tie lock. If you are just bundling power cords a cheap and easy solution is to use the plastic zip ties for trash bags. (You probably have dozens of them in your junk drawer in the kitchen). Most cord type power tools have a rubberized plastic tie on the cord that is reusable. If you check in the tool dept of your local hardware or home supply store you can buy those fairly cheap, of you can use the velcro type that are described above. Now to further the little known trivia about Nylon Zip Ties. Did you know that most police officers carry 5 or 6 of the 10" or 12" ties rolled up in their hats? They keep them handy in the event that they have to arrest more ppl than what they have handcuffs for. They use the Zip Ties as handcuffs. And did you know that the flexible duct work on your HVAC system is connectet with Nylon Zip Ties? When used in that application they have to be pulled so tight that they make an air tight seal. To acheive that we use a special tool called a "Panduit Gun" to pull the ties tight and cut the excess tab off.... Here is a photo of my panduit gun,,notice that it has withstood some very heavy use...LOL

The piece would be a stainless steel or brass fitting that is flared on one end and male threaded pipe on the other. You typically see this fitting connecting stainless steel flex gas line to the iron gas pipe. I don't normally see it sold individually - only with a flex gas line. Be sure you use teflon tape on all of your joints (yellow teflon tape for gas) except for the flair fitting. Also be sure you leak test everything with soapy water. I hate to say it, but the better answer is to do this with one hose. Connecting them together like that is borderline bogus.

Found it: I still ordered this hose even after reading all the bad reviews. Why? ‘Treating’ the hose is all it takes so the hose will not kink. And for those hoses coming in already kinked? Just treat the hose and here is how to do it. First and foremost, it must be a very warm day out and sun shinning. Hook the hose to your outlet. Make sure you have plier or channel lock and use it to tighten the fitting but not so tight as to tear the rubber grommet. Stretch the hose out until it is fully extended on the ground in as much sunlight as you can get. Put on your spray nozzle last. As you stretch the hose out, the air inside needs a way to escape. Turn the water on. Allow it to flow till you have a good spray and all air is out. Stop water from coming out of nozzle, turn off water then turn back on 1/4 turn and set hose down and walk away from it for the better part of the day. The warm to hot air and the sun will heat the water up. In turn this will soften the hose. Spray water out, wind hose up normally and by the next day, the hose will be tighten back up minus the kinks and also will not allow hose to kink while in use. I have always done this method since shown by a friend and it works amazingly! Let me know if it works!
