What To Do With Huge Basket ????????
Comments (13)Sherri - You can fix freecycle to email you as soon as something gets listed. I keep the computer on so when it signals that an email just came in, I check it. That is why I get so much. Your idea of the silver ware is a really great one!! But I'm thinking that the "Wire Thingy" on my other post may be the lucky recipient!!!! Thank you. Becky - It is obvious that you have more talent than I do!! LOL I never learned how to do creative yarn work. But I can see your idea looking way cool. If I varnish it thoughly I believe it's life would be extended under my covered porches. If my Grandbabylove was going to be around for Easter I would give her a huge suprise. OUUUUU OUUUU ouuuu - It would also make a great Easter Raffle. Still cookin' it over!! Susie...See MoreUPDATE: Best Gift Robin 2006
Comments (111)Hey girls! Hope you all had a great Sunday, especially our Faint! Tina has had a tragedy in her family, her 18 year old nephew was seriously injured in a car accident and things don't look good at this point, but she wanted me to post for her a big congratulations to debbya and to wish Faint a Happy B-day! We'll all be thinking of you and your family Tina! Debby I'll have your feeder out in the next couple of day, I would say tommorrow, but have a hectic one ahead and don't want to promise and not be able to do it, but I'll have it to ya shortly girl! You enjoy! Can't wait to see your pics of it filled up with birdfeed with feathery friends having a blast!...See MoreGot snow? Whatcha cookin' this weekend?
Comments (38)Love those snow angels! Momj's cat has the right idea. And David... those rolls.. yummm... Both of us have colds. As Christy was hacking across the pillow the other night I knew my turn was coming and sure enough yesterday it set in. So today as I mentioned on the spilt pea thread we made two pounds of split pea soup. I was going to make biscuits but wasn't feeling that great so we are having toast croutons with it. That's what my Mother always made so that's always nice to have good memories along with a bowl of goodness. I love cornbread with it but Christy doesn't so I if I feel better tomorrow I'll make some so I can have it for a couple days while I have the soup for breakfast and lunch. Smiles. Tomorrow, since she's not quite up to par, Christy is going to make one of her comfort foods, weenie stew. Hot dogs cooked in a tomato sauce with N.O. seasonings [grn. pepper, onion, celery and garlic] and served over mashed potatoes. Surprisingly good and super easy. It finally started snowing here. Everything has a good covering but that's about it so far. It has been quite cold. Ten in the mornings and up to about sixteen during the day. It stays colder here on our little hill than the surrounding area. Hopefully we won't get this much this time. Smiles. Just thought I'd throw this pet pic in. This was from our Dec. blizzard....See MoreWhere there is smoke...
Comments (7)Thanks, and, while most of my photos I post here are pretty much the best impression I can make of what I saw to photograph, this one, of course, was heavily edited to get the effect you see. I'm sure if I was a more knowledgeable photographer, I could have gotten something similar "in the camera", but, hey, you do the best you can with what you've got. ;) FWIW, the heavy billowing smoke lit up by the bright morning sun was what caught my eye and what I was trying to catch and convey. I took probably 20 pics trying to get it. Most of them just didn't catch the real brightness and density of the smoke. The one above, edited, did the best job of capturing the smoke itself. Because it was so bright, I could darken up the background and be left mostly with smoke tendrils curling around and wafting up....See Moreamylou321
