Hi mrsbeasley~I'm an expert in getting rid of groundhogs, I hunt them all the time! (for farmers, near buildings and livestock too) I do most of this in SW Ontario, NW of Arthur. (roughly) I don't charge for this, and would be happy to discuss it further with you if you'd like to email me. Re: jack morgan I suspect that strip is implying a very narrow slot that might have difficulty with sufficient CFM for the problem. Also, the pull out area is not sufficient for any capture except perhaps a cracked oven door just below it. A full depth 24 x 24 pull-out (with mesh filter, say) using a 360 CFM (540 CFM rated) blower flow from an in-line or external blower properly mated to a decent sized duct might work. In this case, the pull-out would need to be a few inches high to encase the mesh and some space to achieve flow uniformity above the mesh. Even more height would be needed for a baffle system. One of those limited height designer hoods, mounted on runners installed within an added shell might have the general capability needed. The added outer shell would connect to the duct that normally connected to the section now used as a pull-out. The pull-out assembly's no longer used duct interface would be blocked, or just not there if built custom.

Your first step regardless of which avenue you take regarding a g.c, owner/builder, or hiring a site supervisor is to absorb as much of your spare time researching and educating concerning the build process. Everything from the permitting, legalities, contracts, up to at least the basics of the various trades and what to look for involved with a build.It also helps to get familiar with processes of how suppliers operate if you will be dealing with them, but even at that, if they are builders suppiers, get to know their m.o anyhow.There are many variables with foresight being a hindsight often times, but by getting familiar with the in's and out's as much as possible can lessen delays/problems on the build.Their are many websites to educate such as building sciences, ask the builder,john bridge tile forum,drywall, electrical, plumbing, hvac,etc,etc to get you tuned into the basics which will help you know what you are looking at on your build.Now's the time to start, not when ground is being broke!You'll get a lot of great advise from many,many people on this and other forums in the garden web as well.Wecome and best of luck!

It's not possible to put 2 on 1 circuit? It's possible but it will be a code violation. That much is too high a sustained load for the circuit. You can: Use a 30 amp 120 volt circuit Use 240 volt heaters & 20a 240v circuit See if you can find a 750 watt heater for one of them Use a single 1500 Watt heater (cheaper) I have never seen these heaters used with an external thermostat. The built-in one is considered a feature. These are typically used as supplemental heat for bathrooms and the like.

Ha, Doris, I had some beef ribs and pork loin on. Turned out tender, juicy and finger lickin' good, if I say so myself.

Thanks, and, while most of my photos I post here are pretty much the best impression I can make of what I saw to photograph, this one, of course, was heavily edited to get the effect you see. I'm sure if I was a more knowledgeable photographer, I could have gotten something similar "in the camera", but, hey, you do the best you can with what you've got. ;)

FWIW, the heavy billowing smoke lit up by the bright morning sun was what caught my eye and what I was trying to catch and convey. I took probably 20 pics trying to get it. Most of them just didn't catch the real brightness and density of the smoke. The one above, edited, did the best job of capturing the smoke itself. Because it was so bright, I could darken up the background and be left mostly with smoke tendrils curling around and wafting up.

RC, when I first glanced at the photo I knew it was smoke of course. I had to scroll down to see the whole photo and what I expected to see at the bottom was someone with a cigarette.
I had to chuckle when the next pix showed the smoker. Very Rod Serling-esque if I can make a comparison. His work was always dark and the ending always unexpected (and of course he always smoked). LOL
