Plumbtile.com Prices are good,...too good to be true?
Comments (3)We used them and got GREAT prices on Jado (the Glance lav. faucet and another tub faucet) and Hansgrohe (kitchen faucet). The products arrived in original packaging from the manufacturer very quickly in perfect condition. I recommend the website! But you have to act quickly when you see the item you like because I've seen stuff fall off their website for a while. Also, sometimes you have to search their website pretty hard to find an item---they don't carry everything by each company and sometimes the way they list the item is a little off and it is hard to find via the search function....See MoreSitram Profiserie 11pc Cookware Set - too good to be true?
Comments (2)I am not sure if it is the same set I have, mine was purchased from Costco online for $140 two years ago and was either a 9 or 11 piece set. If it is the same set, the price is definitely right. Mine has the disc bottom and the only complaint, if I can call it that, is that the edge of the disc is a bit sharp. But I have a smoothtop range and don't think it would be an issue on a gas range. It seems to cook evenly to me---any uneveness in cooking I have seen I believe is due to the element on the range and not the pans. If I had had access to a Sam's club I think I would have considered the Member's Mark. But I didn't and decided to purchase the Sitram set (after research) online and have been very satisfied with it....See MoreCL Sofa ~ Too good to be true?
Comments (27)"Maybe CL is having a undesirable effect on our local charities." I do think CL has cut down on donations. With a free ad a seller has nothing to loose if it does not sell. I swear I have seen things in Goodwill that I had seen running for weeks on CL. It looks like only after something has not attracted a buyer on CL it gets donated. Both CL and eBay has had an effect also by broadening the market field. An eBay ad can reach many more people than an ad in the local paper or on a bulletin board at the laundromat ensuring a better chance of sale. I feel that people are just not as materialistic these days and are less likely to succumb to pressure to throw out (AKA donate) perfectly good items just because the color is out of style, or there is a new and improved version released in the stores. The Goodwill stores in my area look rather bare lately. I don't know if it is due to people not donating things and hanging onto items, or due to more people opting to buy secondhand than new. I also notice, (since I have been a regular shopper there for decades) that it is more crowded with shoppers than ever before. ----------- That looks like a big tear (to me) in the close-up photo of the couch leg. It also looks like another tear on the right side below the cushion in the long shot photo. No Goodwill would accept that to sell....See MoreI knew it was too good to be true
Comments (16)We actually do have insurance for the phone (got smart this time)and it will likely replace this. The previous two lost there we did not, and we paid to replace each. The payment for replacement by SD or mom would be more to make a point that we are tired of paying for mistakes we didn't make. I think the laundry was done after SD went to bed because SD hadn't Put the jeans in the laundry - they were picked up from her room (same as last time.) There are thoughts in the back of my mind that the phone may not have even been in the pocket but was instead placed there. SD doesn't remember where she last had it as it had been taken away. Unfortunately because SD walks back and forth to school we don't feel safe with her not having a phone so we will have to quickly replace it, especially since it's dark now when they walk home. I am of the school that SD should pay at least a portion of the would be replacement cost. But do we even try to talk to mom about her place in this debacle? She is squarely in the camp that it is all SD's fault. Truly, had she just said she was sorry that this happened - AGAIN - I would probably feel like letting it go in the interest of fostering this new found co-parenting. I still don't believe in coincidences though....See MoreStush2049 Pitts. PA, zone 6
