what dining chairs for this monastery table?
Comments (24)marinagal, that arhaus chair looks a lot like jujubean's blog chairs. too bad the leather one only comes in brown and the white is a linen-like fabric which i need to avoid til my kids stop spilling their chocolate milk :-) aktillery, i agree i think the rounded top looks nice on the chairs. though would it make it feel less modern? the table is kind of curvy legged, so maybe a straightlegged chair might be ok? what do you guys think of this one by safavieh? the price is really good (especially if i can get a 20% coupon) though the legs are kind of plain... i emailed the designer from the blog. i'll let you guys know if she ever replies to little ol me.. today i went to cost plus also to check out the chairs beverly posted but none of the nailhead ones were on display. btw, cost plus has a 25% off furniture sale right now for those interested.. Here is a link that might be useful: safavieh chair This post was edited by michoumonster on Fri, Oct 25, 13 at 2:23...See Morewhat kind of dining table should I put in front of this large window?!
Comments (5)Just like @Zalco/bring back Sophie!, we love that grey wall too. @najwa_abd57Here's an approximately scaled mockup of your room that we've made from the images provided. Here's a visual representation of a rectangular table that would pair really well with those mustard chairs! We're have created multiple layouts for your room. You can view them all here. You can also view this design and multiple other designs for this room in a 360 photorealistic view here. You can add or replace furniture and move them around to create your own layouts and also render your own photorealistic images from interactive 3D designs from here! Comments (4)Benches are great for kids and I suggest having only one bench if you really want it and putting chairs at the head and end of the table along with chairs on the opposite side. You want to think about if you have guests or relatives over with health issues. Well made chairs with backs work best for them! My dining room table is similar to this and it does have a leaf for when we have several people over for dinner!...See MoreWhat dining room chairs for this table?
Comments (13)@Jilly Thank you!! Lots of great suggestions. I agree that the Jordan Bell Arte one is very pretty. Even though it isn‘t one I ever would have picked out myself, I like it. And I never would have thought of doing something in a striped pattern as opposed to a solid colored upholstery... I really like the stripes. Honestly, I like them all. But my favorite is also probably the cane backed one. The second to last one intrigues me too. It’s definitely a different style that the others, but I like the simplicity. Some of them are probably a bit pricier than I wanted to go, but they give me good inspiration. @tartanmeup Thanks for the feedback on wood back with fabric seat. I never thought about the ability to DIY a different look down the road. I like that idea. For both of you @Jilly and @tartanmeup, what are your thoughts on pairing the color of wood for the table and chairs? Do they need to be the same stain color? Or is it better to have them different so there isn’t so much of one wood color? Then would I do something contrasting or something in just a slightly lighter or darker shade?...See Morejustlol
