Comments (26)Lola Bojackie, cherimoya tastes like vanilla custard and is very sweet. I make ice cream with it by adding only cream, and then I freeze it. Frozen, it tastes like vanilla ice cream. It is native to highlands of Peru and Ecuador but grows well in Southern California, but only if three to 20 miles from the ocean. It requires a very mild climate and will not grow well if temperatures are over 80°, and it can be damaged by frost. 7 years agoI had a balloon flower (this picture) and it didn't last. Then a few years later, another balloon flower showed up about five feet from where the original was planted. I guess a bird gifted it to me. I am ignoring it and it is doing great!! :) I have this echinachea and I threw in a dahlia too. At least I think it is a dahlia.

I love that Caribbean Frank League. I said I wouldn’t add any more daylilies but for that one I might have to make an exception.
