I love all the seasons! I can’t pick just one. When I think of my childhood I think of all the fun we had in winter. I love cold sunny winter days and full moon winter nights and the stillness in the air.💕 Hot, hot weather is my least favourite. It’s easy to dress warmly and enjoy the outdoors in the winter but there’s not much you can do outdoors when it’s too hot.

My side table holds 5 different pieces of art.

The stained-glass shade of the lamp.

The bronze coaster
Wood box with turquoise embellishment in the small imperfections in the wood. It keeps things like pencils, nail file, chap stick, etc, handy.

Clay jar holds excess pocket change.

And the doily that was made by a neighbor and given to me on my wedding day. I will have loved it for 64 years next week.

You’d never guess what this is! A framed photograph of a slice of an opal. We bought it at an art show in Santa Fe several years ago. Framed, it’s 18”x15”. Isn’t nature amazing?!?

Lars, that is a Peter Toth carving? I have photos of many of them from our travels around the U.S. by motorcycle. Toth did at least one in every state. His first one in wood was done about 30 miles from where I live.

I have it saved as Peter Wolf. Is that the same? I am on my phone now and so writing is very difficult. This sculpture is at Cabot House in Desert Hot Springs.

I found that Wolf is the middle name of Peter Toth.

Lars, I took a Desert Hot Springs sculpture pic back in 1997 on one of our two 4 week motorcycle trips touring the western half of the states. We made it a challenge to see how many of Toth's carvings we could find. Even then some of them had somehow disappeared or were moved to places for repair or we had no information to follow up on.

This is a pic of the original one in a park near Akron Ohio. Sadly, vandals cut it in half diagonally some years ago. His carvings did become much larger and more detailed as he went on.
