I, too, love Teasing Georgia, and it has been by far the most successful Austen for me. It does very well for me tolerating shade, heat, and drought, and is disease resistant, vigorous, and floriferous.

I remember many years ago when I didn't know a lot of about camera, there are films with ISO 100, 200, 400, 800. I wanted the best quality of films so I bought the films with ISO 800 because it was the most expensive films. ISO 800 means the films are highly sensitive to light so it can be used to taking pics in door or moving objects. However, the down side of high ISO is the pics will be grainy. I used ISO 800 films to take outdoor pics of a family event, and all the pics were grainy. At that time, I thought something was wrong with the camera. On top of that, I had no idea something was wrong with the pics until after the films were processed and the family event was over. LOL. Helen

Beautiful! Is Teasing Georgia as apricot as IRL in these pix? So different than the color in DA catalogue...

I have 2 TGs. Mine can get more apricot in cooler weather. Its usually golden yellow and sometimes a soft yellow.

I just pruned my Teasing Georgia and I admit that I left it until last because I was a bit intimidated by the size But it was actually my easiest rose to prune

That is fantastic! I decided to plant Jayne Austin on the fence and put TG next to Flamenco Rosita. I hope they look OK together and not like a hodge-podge. This is IF they make it through this crucial time as they're small cutting. If they don't I may just buy them as everything I've read about either is positive.

Helen and bay girl, beautiful photos! I had picked up teasing georgia last year, only to discover that he gets much bigger than what is printed on the care tag.

I ended up bringing it back and swapped it out for tamora which is also beautiful, however now i wish i had them both.

I'm beginning to think tamora needs a big brother 🤣

I really love both of these roses. SJN - does Wedgewood stay clean for you in our climate?

Wedgewood does get a little black spot during the dog day rainy summers. Not anything horrid. I don't spray so YMMV. I t replacese the leaves right away and keeps on blooming in our heat. I have it in full sun. I like it so much, I may get another.

That must have been it! I've never had that happen before. Gorgeous pics. I have a small SI and since I recently read Peter Schneider recommends SoF for my area, I may just have to break down and get it sometime. It would blend well with the more lilac pinks in my front yard.

Vap, Spirit of Freedom is in my perfect rose category. It has the look of a David Austin wedding rose and an excellent health of a garden rose. Helen

I have 4 SoF now lol. I put two in the ground on a new arch and have two more I need to find a place for still.

I also got James Galway, which I dont know where to put it either...I'm not sure whether to pot it or plant it..How large did yours get?

Dirt, beautiful pics. Love the color of George Burns. I didn't like its very thorny canes but its colors won me over, so I got it last year and planted it in a 15-gal pot. Love the look of Poseidon. If I cut the blooms and bring them in door, the blooms have the closest shade of blue one can get from a rose. Helen

I got autumn sunset through high country roses, at first i thought i ordered through fresh gardens on etsy but i had to go back to look.

I only let it produce one bloom last year to be sure i received the right rose, it smelled fantastic and was very vigorous in its first year so im looking forward to spring🙂

Hmmm. They discontinued it this year. : (( I'll look at FGL as I hadn't thought of them.

Though the squirrels seemed to have gnawed the canes in a couple places so i may have to cut them back.

As you can see im quite partial to the lavender and apricot blends.

Angel face is a disease ridden mess however, an unfortunately i have two of them. I love the scent though, i have plum perfect coming this spring so i will probably replace at least one of the AF with it.

Helen, thank you! I think Poseidon is my favorite, i actually have a second one coming this spring. Its very healthy and holds the color till the very end.

My Teasing Georgia has been slow to bloom this year . I think maybe I pruned her too hard. She is really coming on now though.

I have two teasing Georgia’s - one on either side of my long driveway.

of course I planted them too close and they will probably start to spill over onto it in a couple of weeks.

Is Teasing Georgia a good candidate for pegging? The canes seem pliable enough for me to fold them in and away from the driveway but I don’t know if there are any unintended consequences

I imagine the will be fine pegged. It's a climber here.
