Not a fan of that style anyway and it did seem like you could pack more into the space. I assumed it would fill in as the season progressed? Loved the spring blooming space though which bordered the maze....See MoreQuestion for those Mountain gardeners
Comments (1)Suches, GA is in USDA Hardiness Zone 7, as is most of N GA. I gave up growing strawberries years ago, when one of the neighbor's kids considered it his private garden for berries every morning to eat with cereal. He would pick every ripe one on the vines and since there were 7 kids in the household, I'm sure none were wasted! Here's a link for the NCSU Extension Service that has a number of recommended varieties that should do well in your location. Comments (10)This may or may not be helpful, but I had a lot of trouble finding creams or lotions that worked after a few applications and discovered I was allergic to something in many of them. It's not a serious allergy that would be obvious to anyone right away, just a matter of feeling like I need more and more for less and less effect. To make matters more complicated the ingredient I was tested as allergic to (it's called Balsam of Peru!) is not listed on the label and is in many cosmetics and cleaning products. If that's your problem I wish you luck! If I find a soap or shampoo or whatever I use it until they 'improve' it and I can't use it any more. Used to love to experiment and try new products!...See MoreTo those with pretty gardens and cameras... :)
Comments (6)Okay, I've heard through a friend that I actually had some photos of my garden published in the Life section of the Tenneseean (so I'm assuming it was last week's? not sure). But they didn't tell me they were publishing them so I didn't see them or get a copy. Did any of you see those? I'd really appreciate it, if any of you happen to still have a copy of the paper around if you could save that section for me....See MoreRose Pekelnicky
