Here we go again-we've turned the corner
Comments (13)Mid 70's here all next week but the night time temps are deadly! 33 degrees on Sunday night forecasted here in Plumas County. Already some of my plants are complaining. This afternoon I intend to start yanking annuals in anticipation of what will probably be major cold damage in the garden starting over the weekend. The chimney sweep is coming Monday night to get the woodstove ready for winter.., Kate...See MoreWolf Oven: Here we go again!
Comments (13)AGK, I have the AG model that was discontinued last year. I had a recurring issue with the flames coming out a bright orange color and with constant clicking even after the burners were lit. After a couple of tech visits failed to solve the problem, they sent out two "higher ups" who worked on my range for several hours making adjustments. The flame was adjusted and is now fine. The burners still click, but it seems to subside after the initial condensation goes away from the bottom of the pans. And it generally happens with large diameter pans, not small ones. I emailed back and forth with another GW member who had the same clicking issue and hers, too, would stop when the condensation went away. Yes, it's annoying that they click like that and I wish they didn't, but I still love the range! The burners work great (once they stop clicking!) and the oven cooks perfectly. Maybe some more fine tuning would completely solve the problem, but it's really inconvenient having service people come out. I'm still under warranty, but I don't want to bother with it. I do wonder if the extra clicking will somehow shorten the life of the ignitors ...? Your model has different burners and will likely not have that issue at all. Comments (28)HI Katie! Good to see you are back and ready to do this again!! Regarding your latest questions about the subways, I think they would look great! Why not? They are rather traditional since they have been around for a long time, so I think they would look quite appropriate in your kitchen. And I think it would be so nice to be able to bring something from your old kitchen into your new kitchen's design. Do you have any photos for us to start looking at? You know how we are...we love any and all visual aids! Even if it is a space that is going to be totally gutted. lol Looking forward to this project!...See MoreYikes! Here We Go....Again! Comments (18)I don't think you can fit two sofas in the room with the TV. Place the TV and console in the same place the current owners had it. Then look for a sectional or one long sofa with floating chairs to use at either end. Make sure the seating stays in the main area of the room and not in the walkways (no chair by the stairs). I think painting before they move in makes a lot of sense as long as they choose neutral light colors. Narrow down your options though - you don't need 11 whites to choose from. I would look for a neutral warm white with the floors and fireplace and possible antiques, and paint the ceiling white like the trim....See MoreUser
