Counter color choice - help please?
Comments (10)I posted this in my other thread, but wanted to throw it in here, as some of you have not seen that thread. Thanks for all the replies! I really appreciate having so many virtual friends to help! DH will go today to meet w/ kitchen designer, OK the door swap in person, and get the show back on the road. Christmas dinner will be in the crock pot, but that's OK, we're moving forward. I am posting some pics of the counter/backsplash samples on the other thread, but here's one anyway (can't resist). Tile size on left (11/2 x 1/2) is the shape, but the squares on the right show the tile color. It does look different on the card here than it did on the sample board in the showroom. I liked the sample board a lot better. Here's a picture from sonoma tilemakers' website. It's the same tile, in a 1/2 x 1/2 - color is jade. The color I chose is called minka. This just shows the reflectiveness of it. Here's the minka from their website. Sorry it's so small, I couldn't seem to enlarge it. It's got more grays/taupes/blues in it. What do you think? Be HONEST, please. Suzanne PS Floors are natural oak, kitchen is galley style. The pictures below were taken from the same location....See MoreIsland Counter Stools

Comments (11)“What do you think of off white or gray with my cabinets?” Hi Barbara, I don’t think that particular gray is a good idea. May we please see images of the entire space that include your floor? Do you have any inspiration images you can share with us? They can be incredibly helpful. Just google images of kitchens with oak cabinets and show us a few that you like. Here are a few I’ve found....See MoreNeed help picking countertop to go with Skara Brae by Cambria
Comments (2)Just a first thought - Depending on the fabricators around your area, you may not be able to choose what you want. Many of the fabricators by me do not stock quartz tops, so they won't bring in a whole slab to cut a small countertop. Check with your local yards and see if they will do that or if you will need to shop for remnants. Personally, I like things to look different. Your wall color is different and so is the floor. I would also do a different top and not worry about the kitchen top. JMO Good luck...See MoreShannon_WI
