Please send some good thoughts my way
Comments (33)Thanks guys :) really appreciate the good thoughts. Actually Maggie, I'm in radio, and we do talk about it a little on the air, the guy I do the morning show with is a big animal lover, so we do a lot of dog and cat stories etc..What I really want to do is get with my primary vet, I haven't really talked to him since the initial rupture...I know that he is inclined to reccomend euthanasia for these type cancers :( as they are so aggressive. I just want to show him Bob, and offer my number to anyone contemplating what direction they want to go in. I have no regrets on what we did with Bob. He really suffered no ill effects to speak of from the treatment...His quality of life is excellent at the moment...I am also thinking about starting up a message board for this type of thing. I joined a cancer group on yahoo, but they were sooooo restrictive, and moderated everything, drove me nuts. Anyway I may have to look into that. Thanks again for all the well wishes, I can't tell you how grateful I am that he is doing so well, everyday when we go for our walks in the pasture, I see him galloping ahead of me:) I raise my head and say a little thank you :)....See MorePlease Send Up Good Thoughts/ Prayers For My Brother
Comments (30)The funeral was this morning. It was beautiful, & it was the most heartbreaking thing I ever saw. Beautiful church, with beautiful flowers in tiers upon tiers, filling the entire end of the sanctuary where the pulpit was.. & 4 caskets, 1 just about half the size of the others. 3 ministers, 4 eulogies, 1 for a 6-year-old & 1 for a 3-year-old. What can you say in a eulogy for a first-grader? for a toddler? They said Michael was smart as a whip & loved the water & asked pointed questions & never met a stranger. They said little Landon was born in perpetual motion & brought a smile to every face. & Landon, a surprise baby, may have saved his mother's life: Had she not had a sonogram, the cancer that was growing inside her might not have been discovered until too late. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, & good wishes. It means a lot to me & to my family....See MorePlease check out my rose selections
Comments (15)The size stated by Chamblee's is very conservative for 'Mrs. Dudley Cross' based upon its growth in my garden. By listing it as 3'-6' x 3'-4', that would lead one to believe that it is possible for their specimen to only grow to 3' tall by 3' wide on the lower end of the range. In my experience, that is ridiculous. You would have to prune the crud out of it constantly to keep it that small and in doing so would ruin its natural beauty. My Mrs Dudley Cross is many years old, but I could probably keep it at 6' x 4' IF I pruned it fairly often. The plant would be happier being allowed to grow a little larger than that (after several years of course). It's a fantastic rose, you will love it I'm sure. Try not to crowd it, if you can. Comments (38)Oakley, the kitchen wallpaper is history. And not a moment too soon. I love a kitchen table in my kitchen, even if it defies all kitchen organization. Yes, if I didn't have animals, I may consider a rug in the kitchen but I like to easily clean. I love braided rugs too and have one upstairs but have more antique persian ones because of family hand me downs. I still have the wallpaper in my living room because I am in tired of trying to decide what I want to do in that room. It's large and overwhelming. DH built the outbuilding. It's technically our well house. It's large enough to make a small Guest house (sans bathroom) and with out MIL coming, we will likely do just that. (I've been studying trailer floor plans for ideas.) It is finished inside but not furnished. We could put in a motel style kitchen but no bathroom. The septic would be too close to our well....See More
