Has anyone added a swim up bar to an existing pool?

My husband and I are considering purchasing a house that we feel falls short in the pool/outdoor area but meets all our other needs. If we purchase we would like to do a major pool reno, the pool is new so it would be mostly ascetics that we were trying to improve. One idea we have is to convert the shallow end into a swim up bar and add a sunken outdoor kitchen and a ramada over it for shade. I don't want to promise him that the sky is the limit and then find out we are way over our heads.

Questions:

Has anyone added a swim up bar?

Do you think it is feasible to dig along side the pool to add a sunken outdoor kitchen without damaging the integrity of the pool?

I know it's hard to say but where do you think we would be price wise on an update like this?

The main costs as I see them would be:

adding the bar stools to the pool

digging out and creating the sunken space

kitchen equipment

flooring, and countertops

building the shade structure (ramada, pavilion, etc.)

Gas and electric are already accessible to the area because there is an existing out door kitchen that we will remove-- it's sad.
