Well after a year of renovations on the inside, we have decided to keep going and start on the deck area. Currently we have 22' x 15' brick deck. We are looking to expand the current deck to the edge of the house and wrap up the side of the house to connect to the mud room entry (eventual 3rd bathroom going in that area).

We are just in the starting phase of collecting ideas and wish list together as we get ready for meetings with the pros for actual planning. Feel free to share any ideas you may have.

Few items we are looking to incorporate:

- larger deck to extend around the house

- looking to add a roof over the main area of the porch (likely the current footprint)

- dining room table, we host often and eat family meals outside a good bit (even in FL heat). We have a folding dining table out there now

- Comfortable seating at least for two.

- some storage and a place to hang life jackets and towels

- looking to create a prep/cook area with possible sink. We have water and drain on the backside of the kitchen window (close to the hammock in the pictures below)

- we are putting in an outdoor shower on the side of the house where the deck would wrap around

- we may add a firepit on the edge of the deck or into the yard. We may eventually move this down by the water.
