You are welcome! It seems the boards have almost come to a stop. That's too bad. You can have fun crossing these with other sororias. Some see these as weeds but if you have a space for them, seeing them in mass is quite charming.

Patty, that is an interesting question. Professor Roush (see his blog at http://kansasgardenmusings.blogspot.com/) brought up a related question after RRD decimated his Buck rose collection. Roush wondered if roses from different genetics, in his case the OGRs like the gallicas, were more resistant. I have never seen, knock on wood, RRD in my big patch of native roses, but I just found it in a plant of Rosa canina. I have a huge (20' by 25') plant of Rosa setigera next to the Rosa canina, so I will be watching...The R. setigera leaves are kind of fuzzy -- very different from both R. canina or the leaves of typical HTs. I will be curious to see what answers you get! Sunny

Thanks for the input so far. I appreciate your photos & recommendations Flo. Denita, I had to laugh out loud when you mentioned colorblind. Sometimes I do think my h is. I once had a boyfriend that I did not know was color blind until I went shopping for clothes with him once, I am posting a photo of the home we just purchased this past summer. It needs lots of attention inside and out, but hopefully you can see the "Clay" color of the siding which is more of a taupe. Black or dark brown roofing would go nice, but we do not want green. I would love to change the siding which would not be my choice if I had purchased it. Hopefully your computer screen will show the color accurately to some degree.
