My flash is not on! This is the actual light from the apartment building next door that I've spoken about. Our cars are in the dark, as are the other apartment buildings. My building is lit up like a space ship!

In this shot you can even see the light reflecting on my bedroom wall, through the door.

Jasdip, I'd 'like' the pics, but I don't like it....you need to talk to the mgmt next door...maybe get together with your neighbors to approach them...that's ridiculous and not helpful at all for the purpose. If not, then maybe get the town/city involved.

Jas, that is AWFUL!

My landlords are on it. They were out for a walk one evening last week and saw the light. They told me that it's completely unacceptable. They've spoken to the building owner whose response was that 'they can get heavier curtains."

That didn't go over with my landlords. They're going to give them a few days to fix it, and go to the city/by-law if it doesn't get fixed. Even a motion detector would be fine, no one uses the parking lot as a walk-through, it's not a big one at all.

Strike out again - no irises here.

We have native mountain laurel bordering the rear of our yard near the woods and they're blooming now.

Then there are all in this purple

No iris blooming yet, not sure if they will this year. I have lots of bulbs to plant so I will have more in my future!

Gorgeous arrangement from Mrs. Reba's visitation yesterday. There were so many absolutely beautiful flowers and plants. She would have loved them.

Jasdip, I live way out in the country, on a dirt road. I used to say I had no visible neighbors, but then someone bought the property across from me and took down all the trees (there were many) between us. Then he lit the place up like a prison yard at night. They're not even in residence most of the time, but the lights are. You have my sympathy.

Thanks to the never-ending work on my roof and the ever-growing piles of old shingles, I have no access to my irises. Many are visible--and beautiful--but I can't get close enough to deadhead them or even smell them. (Scented irises are a favorite of mine.) So here's a few from last year.

These grow like weeds in my front yard. I did not plant them - they came with the house.

WOW! You ALL have lovely gardens! The iris buds have just started appearing....

Lars....they look tropical. What are they??? anyone....? GORGEOUS!

I think I found it....Butterfly Iris. Zone 8 & up

Dietes Grandiflora

All of those lovely gardens, and I'm excited about an "ugly" in mine, found in a clump of bamboo yesterday!

I'm sorry you have to deal with that Jasdip. Hope your landlords are able to get it fixed for you!

In the bags of iris bulbs one of my garden club ladies gave me are some she called butterfly iris. She said they were smaller. I am anxious to see what they turn out looking like.

Jasdip, that is completely unacceptable. I'm so glad your landlords are fighting it.
