Comments (1)Jeanne there are a couple of ways to post pics. You can put it on your computer and then open a new message (reply to your post). You'll see "Image file to upload" with a "browse" button. Browse to the place where the photo is on your computer and select it. When you are finished, hit Preview Message and you should see your photo in your message. Then hit Submit for the message. There may be a way to post directly from a smart phone or pad, but I don't know how. Or you can put your photos on a free photo hosting site like Photobucket. Go to the photo you want, once you've uploaded them and you'll see a bunch of different codes off to the side in boxes. Select the HTML code and copy and paste here into the body of your message. Preview, then you'll see it. There is a test forum to try it if you prefer. Here is a link that might be useful: Test forum...See MoreExterior home help!!
Comments (8)"...What can I do to make these two front windows look better?..." Define what "better" means to you. Why are you concerned with the windows? That elevation of your house will be dominated by the comparatively huge garage door, which is apparent from your first photo. The photo dramatically illustrates how the size and scale of double garage doors and openings simply is larger and overwhelming anything else on a residence, especially a single-story residence. So, although you didn't ask, my initial advice would be to either replace the single large garage door with two smaller, and finer detailed doors, or, if you have to have a single large door, choose one which appears to be visually smaller and better proportioned. To make the rest of the house, and the two windows, look "better" there needs to be sufficient "strength" present to offset the dominance of the garage doors. That may be achieved by removing the two windows and replacing them with a single full height glazing unit, or something like fixed French doors with side lights. Probably not the advice you were looking for... Or simply plant several large American Holly Trees adjacent to the garage which can be trimmed as a foundation hedge or as a secure, tall privacy fence. They require minimal watering and grow in a variety of climates. Resists mildew, disease and insects. Even pruning is easy!...See MoreNeed Garage door paint color idea?
Comments (11)I totally agree with eld. The garage doors would match the color of the home. do you have a reason why you’d want the garage doors to be some kind of “feature”? It isn’t like a front door, which you want to beckon and appear welcoming... I prefer most garage doors to blend into the house, and let the front door and lighting and landscaping create the atmosphere and drama....See MoreAbove Garage Apt. Paint Colors
