Comments (19)Like that sage green but love a red rock most. If you went red then blacktop drive would work well. You might look into a tar and chip driveway-- pour hot tar and then put a small aggregate gravel on top. typically you put cobble stones along the borders. Not sure what climate you live in so snow removal might be a concern. A simple detail on the gable(s) in the same color as the trim could up the charm factor/curb appeal. Not sure if the style is right but just to illustrate... Comments (16)Thanks cawaps - I hadn’t thought about painting that siding in the bump-out a darker color than the trim to help it recede, and it’s definitely worth playing around with. Jinx - I actually like brick generally, but I think the fake “schmear” on this house is part of what bothers me. If it were a real German Schmear treatment, I think I would like it better. But I agree that painting it is a commitment and expensive, so I’m keeping an open mind. :) Love the suggestions and comments from all, so keep them coming....See MoreExterior house design help
