Garage paint color picked + on

Picked Valspar Silver Leaf ! Wish I could post pics, but I have no idea how to do it.
It is a very pretty silvery, blue/gray. It doesn't look like concrete gray. Lower molding I painted valspar berry.
What a difference, luckily no DH in the picture to dispute my trim pieces. Being berry.
Glad that I am happy with it,

Jeanne there are a couple of ways to post pics. You can put it on your computer and then open a new message (reply to your post). You'll see "Image file to upload" with a "browse" button. Browse to the place where the photo is on your computer and select it. When you are finished, hit Preview Message and you should see your photo in your message. Then hit Submit for the message.

There may be a way to post directly from a smart phone or pad, but I don't know how.

Or you can put your photos on a free photo hosting site like Photobucket. Go to the photo you want, once you've uploaded them and you'll see a bunch of different codes off to the side in boxes. Select the HTML code and copy and paste here into the body of your message. Preview, then you'll see it. There is a test forum to try it if you prefer.

I love log homes! Why aren't you building a log garage? I'm certainly no expert but have you considered painting the garage the same color as the trim on your house? It seems like red siding might look like you were trying to color match the dark red cedar but failed since they're completely different materials. On the other hand, the reds might actually compliment each other. What do I know? You may want to post this on the decorating forum too. It's a very active forum and folks there are very helpful with both interior and exterior design. In fact, if you can post a photo of the garage (or a model) on the decorating forum, someone there will probably Photoshop different colors onto it for you, which is really helpful.

I hate stain. (don't tell anyone I said that) If Cabot is a product option for you, that's a good thing. Lowe's sells sample pots - at least all the Lowe's I know of sell sample pots of Cabot's stain colors. You can mix stain colors easier than you can mix paint colors. The trick is to keep the ratios even if at all possible. Painter may have a stroke if you end up with a custom mixed stain color. That's okay, he'll survive. Just remind him that that's what those five gallon buckets are for. Buy samples. Test colors. Hopefully one straight out of the can will work for you 'cuz that would definitely be the eaiser option. If you have the option of Sherwin Williams, their WoodScapes (solid or semi-transparent) is another really good exterior stain choice IMO. ^I like the color combos above with your brick. I also like the front door that apple green surrounded by white. The gray siding would go nicely with your roof and brick. I would use the gray on all of your siding excluding the brick (naturally). Paint your garage door the same gray so it recedes. Consider substantially trimming back your landscaping before you paint so you can see the house.
