Hi. Thanks for the input. I am going to leave the cabinets alone and I am going to order the tiles on the right. How do you think it would look in a diamond pattern? Too much? Also, would I need to order more tile if it is in a diamond pattern? The area measures 36sq and my contractor said to order 40 sq. Is this enough? Or should I order more to be safe? It's very expensive and I hate to spend more than I have to. What do you think?

Okay, so I have not completely ruled out square knobs, but have a couple round knobs I like. A couple questions first, though. I simply looove these knobs and backplates: [Craftsman Kitchen[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/craftsman-kitchen-ideas-phbr1-bp~t_709~s_2116) by Howard Lake Cabinets & Cabinetry Dura Supreme Cabinetry I originally wanted to do a full craftsman style kitchen, but plans shifted a little as the project got underway. Would those exact pieces on my uppers look too out of place? Too style-specific? I would spend the dollars on that exact set-up (in black) for my uppers if I get reasonable feedback that they would work. I love the lines and details, the little bit of movement those curved sides lend. I did, however, find a couple different options, a backplate and round knobs that would look alright with or without the backplate: So I want to know "yea" or "nay" on the favorite setup? If nay, which knob? With or without the backplate? (Either backplate, I guess, although I would not put a round knob on that first backplate.

hi blue... I'm sorry that this is so difficult for you..I had a somewhat reversed situation, in that I thought I wanted a white kitchen, (DH and DD hated the idea). DH was going to let me get white anyway...I really love how they look in photographs, but whenever I saw a white kitchen on display or in real life, I wasn't drawn to it at all! I was drawn to the dark wood, with light counters. As we were driving to the store to order our cabinets, I said to my DH, "I think I want to order the dark ones." He and DD were happy, to say the least. When the cabinets went in, I was very pleased. I'm guessing that you feel the opposite way, and are drawn to the white kitchens you see, up close and personal. How do you and your DH feel about the beautiful gray kitchens that are popping up all over?? I think those might be a good compromise. KA:)

I design and build a lot of kitchens but to me this is personel preference.You are the one that has to look at it every day and nobody on the internet can help you make that decision.I really like what you have picked but it's hard to tell without seeing what goes with it?
