Recommendations for yellow/cream paint color, please!
Comments (36)I have painted a number of squares of RH Butter on the walls, and I love it. I have samples of the two SW colors, but I don't think I'm going to put them up. They are both darker than the Butter, and I don't think I want to go darker. I would have liked to try the EK Honeysuckle, but as far as I can tell that paint has to be ordered, and I don't want to take the time to order a sample and then order the paint. I hope that the Butter looks good next to the two full-spectrum paints. I'll post photos when it is done. Thank you all, so much, for your help! scanmike, thank you for the comment about the finish. I had thought of matching the Butter in BM, because the closest RH is out of it (and the website is doing inventory and not shipping for a week). I did find it in the second closest store, though, so I will get it on Saturday. By coincidence, I just put up squares of Cappuccino in my new bathroom, and I think I am going to use that, too! I wish RH made towels in that color; unfortunately, they don't seem to....See MoreCan anyone recommend the perfect cream/off-white color to paint??
Comments (3)Go to SW and get the card with all the whites on it-there are several dozen. Take it home and hold various tones up to your marble and granite in various lights (day and night) and if one choice is not obvious, pick the two or three you like best. Then go back to SW and get $5 sample jars of the ones you like best and paint a piece of poster board or scrap plywood with the chosen colors (so you get a large sample) and place the larger samples in your room. Again inspect and compare at various times of day and night. I think the right choice will become obvious. If you're still not sure, ask a friend you know has a good eye for decorating to help you. Better to be safe than sorry and spending $10-$15 on sample jars and really being sure is better than spending $30+ on a full container which is non-returnable and find it's not really the right shade. I think I'd look for something that blends well with the cream background in your granite which is beautiful....See MoreWarm cream color request?
Comments (9)I am also searching for a great creamy white color. I am considering ACE Snickerdoodle, ACE Barley, SW French Ivory, SW Creme, SW Crisp Linen, SW Muslin, RL Architectural Off White (more of a very pale khaki/gray cream), RL Country Dairy, RL Edwardian Linen, RL Cream Stone (a muted off-white, more gray than yellow)& BM Gentle Cream, BM Elephant Tusk. Oh boy, that's quite a list. I better quit looking at paint colors and start putting up samples!! I'll post photos once that's done (I'll probably begin by picking just a few from that list...)...See Morefavorite warm cream paint?
