Comments (7)Yes!!! so excited, but although it is cooler now it is muggy-not complaining, will take it---We have been feeding hay to our milk cow too, but she has a bit of grass since whe have been running the sprinkler for her. The farm is on city water, but there is a minimum usage that we never met till this month I am sure. Would be nice to get the old windmill well running again....See MoreIt's raining...finally!!! :)
Comments (28)Lindakathy - That happened to elder DS and DIL two years ago in Seattle. Their car was trapped in the garage of their apartment building. After 24 hours it was so cold for them that DIL was miserable and they went to a hotel. Because their power was out (and so the computer didn't work), DS called me on his cell phone. Asked me to go online and look for possible accommodations. I did, called him back, and we talked over the various details. Because his cell was losing power, he asked me to do the 1-800 calling for checking reservations. They finally got settled in a warm place. They were there for two more days. The PacNorthwest was really hit hard by that storm and some areas still haven't recovered. I think that most Americans are used to hearing about hurricane damage in the South and the tremendous blizzards in the Midwest. Few can imagine the damage done by the mild Pacific when it carries in a nasty front! Linda - I hope that your power hangs on now and that you get through the next front, due pretty soon! We're looking at all the branches down on our property and are praying that the neighbor's oak tree doesn't crash down on our driveway. It's leaning hard on the fence and they're searching for someone to come out and look at it....See Moreit's RAINING! yea! finally!
Comments (8)Kathy, I think they have been cold since they got off the plane! LOL I'll take THIS weather over the nasty 104 degrees we had this time last year, any day!...See MoreThe Rain finally Came and Did ITs Usual Damage
Comments (15)I do still have Tree Turtles...It is a very late one...scaped, but no blooms yet, Maryl. Yes, it did boost the blooming, but wrecked a lot of blooms if you take close ups...so I didn't. Julia, they are my favorites too, boy Crazy is 34 inches....not as tall as Mean Green, but taller than the first year, so it may yet increase a bit. Weather people are threatening with severe storms for tonight, so we will see. I took my hanging baskets down in the puppy memorial gardens and set the ones on stands on the ground too since wind gusts of 60 mph are threatened and they really wreck basket if the blow off.
