it's RAINING! yea! finally!

It's always so dry in the summer. I'm so happy to

see rain. Although I don't think it will enough

to really soak the lawns and plants. It's still

nice! I love the smell after a long dry spell.

I hope you get more rain.. sometimes a bit of rain is a precurser to more rain... I hope so for you anyway..

Yes!!! so excited, but although it is cooler now it is muggy-not complaining, will take it---We have been feeding hay to our milk cow too, but she has a bit of grass since whe have been running the sprinkler for her. The farm is on city water, but there is a minimum usage that we never met till this month I am sure. Would be nice to get the old windmill well running again.

Be careful what you wish for....! We had almost 8" in July and are up to 5" already this month! I am thoroughly sick of rain and quite nostalgic for our usual dry July an August.... :-)

JULIA> You have been getting rain pretty regular haven't you?This is the first good rain here in about 4 or 5 .months,and I was sure cheering it on. hoping it wouldnt stop for the rest of the day.I still have some more weeds to pull out, but, my back has gotten worse the last few months,and is hard to pull the weeds out.I have started going out every few hours, looking at how pretty and green the leaves has gotten on the daylilies and each time I pull out a big handful of weeds. a few more trips outside will just about get another bed weeded out, then I sprinkle Preen out. jean

The rain had just good and started when I posted that and it hasn't stopped, since. If we don't have at least two inches of rain, already, I'll be surprised. If I went out and checked the rain gage right now, I wouldn't make it three steps out the door before I'd be soaked to the skin.

It's been raining here off and on all day. It's reached cold and damp now, I'm wearing a sweater! Crazy year!
